We were just looking for a casual overnight spot near Dao Falls and stumbled upon Matthias and Grace’s place on Google Maps. It turned out to be perfectly positioned between these stunning falls.
When we arrived, Grace greeted us with a warm smile that instantly made us feel at home. The place is right by the ocean, and the nighttime breeze was so peaceful. We also loved spending time with their sweet dog, Hershey. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept like a baby.
The next morning, we had a great chat with the owners about local attractions and rented a motorcycle from their neighbor. They even treated us to a hearty breakfast for free.
We enjoyed it so much that we decided to extend our stay. It was definitely the right call—the place has such a calming vibe that we didn’t want to leave.
Overall, our stay exceeded all our expectations, and we’re already looking forward to coming back with our loved ones.

If you're coming to Oslob for Whale Shark watching this is the place to stay.
The hostel is basically 10 steps away from the registration office(and the place where boats depart from). For the additional 100 pesos the owner wakes up at 2am to register you and her family members wait in the queue for you making sure you can use the first boat in the morning.
The owner and her family are super friendly and very very helpful.
