We had an incredible stay at Richard and Lucrecia’s home with their lovely daughter Isabel. Lucrecia is exceptionally kind, and her cooking is truly delightful! We were welcomed with a delicious sopa de quinoa and grilled trucha for lunch. Later, Lucrecia guided us around the lake shore and showed us the stunning sites of Pachamama and Pachatata. Isabel took us to a charming community welcoming party near the house, and Lucrecia graciously lent us some of her beautiful traditional clothes. We then enjoyed a wonderful night's sleep in the cozy and warm beds of our room, which had a terrace overlooking the beautiful Lake Titicaca. We highly recommend staying with these amazing and loving hosts. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer than one night! Muchísimas gracias de nuevo por todo, Lucrecia. Abrazos fuertes de las francesas, Marine y Clémence!

Authentic, unique homestay experience. Shower is topped up by Ernesto with water from the spring, warmed by the sun. Immaculate toilets with chamber pots for emergencies! Immerse yourself in Amantani life. Diego was on hand as a tour guide, and with heaps of knowledge, he showed us Amantani. Ilda, his sister, and mum Juana delivered amazing local food, dish after dish of local food. With comfy beds topped with llama blankets, we had an exceptional stay. From sharing English phrases for Quechua with Ernesto to drinking local tea, watching the sunsets, to hiking the local trails, I can not recommend enough.
This is the most peaceful place on earth. The island offers the most sacred experiences. We spent two nights there, eat completely organic food from the garden, our host was amazing. If you want an authentic Lake Titicaca experience, this is it. Their 11 year old son took us to the fountain of youth, the Pachamama and Pachatata temples on top of the mountain. We had a wonderful experience with a local Shaman. This place is well cared for, host and family are the most loving people, sharing their lifestyl with their guest. There are no cars on the island, you walk everywhere. The boat ride to their place was breath taking as it is on the south side of the island, very private and quite.

A peaceful magical little island.
A peaceful magical little island. Both preserved in time through ancient traditions, but also in the modern era with solar power, hot water, etc. Two days was the perfect amount of time, and having it at the end of our travels as time to unwind was perfect. Don't expect cell-reception or wifi (we didn't have any the whole time) and just become one with the nature around you.
