View is phenomenal (you can’t get enough) and the infinity pool is nice. All the staff is truly great and kind! It’s a very remote place so good place to disconnect.
Facing the beachfront in Colón, Panama Dive Adventure has a garden and a terrace. There's a restaurant serving Caribbean cuisine, and free private parking is available.

My room was fine, the bed comfortable, and looked right out on the sea....the staff were extremely friendly, and there was a very good restaurant close by....it was close to Portobelo, and the buses stop right in front ....thanks for a great stay!

I booked a room at the Andres Hotel, mainly because of a train ride.
I was thinking of going for one day from PANAMA CITY to Colon, by train with the Panama Canal Train.
Unfortunately, I found out that this train is inactive since the Corona.
If the train ride is not yet available,
Or if you are not going to visit around Colon, and are not interested in the duty free zone, then you can skip Colon. I was warned by the locals, to be careful
If you decide to visit Colon, stay at the ANDRES Hotel

Colon is not a nice city and I cannot recommend it to others. I felt very threatened there. It is dirty and noise, huge amounts of litter everywhere. Huge numbers of homeless and mentally ill people living on the street.
I could not find anything to visit. There are very few restaurants that cater for tourists. I just wanted to leave.

Colon is a great city, the one I was born in.
Colon is a great city, the one I was born in. Although a little rundown in some areas, mainly the center, the outskirt of the city has a better appearance. Overall, the people are very warm and appreciate visitors coming into their city

A beautiful well planned city that is been redeveloped.
A beautiful well planned city that is been redeveloped. All new streets
new sewage system and other improvements that will make it the best in the country. If I was a real estate developer there is nothing but opportunity here. It looks ruff now but the early bird gets the worm.

Colon is a place where you don't want to go unless you have very serious reasons. The place looks like a city which has been abandoned a few decades ago, and now only the lost souls are living there again.

City of colon is not really a place for most people.
City of colon is not really a place for most people. It’s is quite literally falling down. The local people are wonderful despite the fact that they live mostly in squalor. Most travelers here are only here for the Free Trade Zone
Breakfast was excellent, the hotel staff where fantastic, from the staff who cleaned the room, to the staff at breakfast, restaurant staff specially Raynor and Melanie and not forgetting George behind the bar, staff behind reception and the hotel manager himself, couldn't do enough for us, got to be one of the best experiences I have had of a hotel really going out of it's way for it's customers, thank you all so much.
The facility was very clean, the receptionist Katie was amazing, very attentive and polite.. She was also our server for breakfast and she did a great job. Beds had better days ,the hotel definitely needs new beds and pillows and the AC needs replacing also. I think that the place has potential it just needs more tlc. The place has a beautiful pool and a beautiful beach. Sunset was stunning.
This hotel has the best staff. There are very helpful and kind, I forgot to printed out my ship pass and the lovely Ms Shenell Bates at the reception printed out for me no questions asked, all with the most beautiful and welcoming smile. Thank you Shenell. She was also very knowledgeable of her surroundings which saved me a taxi fare, as I was able to walk and see a bit of Colon.
I used this hotel for one night prior to my cruise. Convenient location near an excellent local restaurant (Hudson’s) and the best Panaderia in Colon (Panaderia Colon). Staff was very nice and helpful. An armed guard is stationed at the only hotel entrance, so I felt safe. Colon is rough, but I’d use this hotel again without hesitation.
Christian treated us like VIP's. After we told him it was our anniversary trip, the hotel surprised us with a special cake the next day. Room air conditioning was perfect, great room WITH a tub. Breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious. Even had a fresh fruit smoothie bar!
Friendly stuff and an unexpected early check-in even before 11:00 in the morning. The hotel is located in the downtown area and you reach places close by very fast by taxi or Uber. Additional (and visible) guards outside the hotel increase your feeling for a safe stay in the area.
Hotel Candy Rose was amazing and very hospitable. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, the food and drinks were great, and the property was beautiful. This hotel felt like a resort! I would definitely come again and stay for even longer?
Upscale boutique hotel. It is in a remote location in the mountains with beautiful views, but also offers guests a beach experience. Dinner is served by attentive staff on white tablecloths. We spent a relaxing 3 days there and we’re sorry to leave
Everything was great! The place is build with guest's comfort above all in mind.
I've been a camper since I was 15 and I camped in over a dozen countries. This was the first time ever that I saw a 5-star hotel bathroom "in the jungle."
I enjoy staying here. My go to actually. 10 minutes walk into colon and less than 5 minutes to Cuatro Alto(local mall) in a cab. Free entry into the Free Zone and a pool area to kick back and relax.
