Petra and Daniel were most welcoming as hosts and we noticed their sense for the detail all the time during our stay. The mornings were the highlight, with a wonderful view, a proper breakfast, some interesting stories and tips and a lovely capuccino. Thanks a lot!

The peace and quiet of location although only 10 min to town. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Very clean, great shower, and enjoyable breakfast

We stayed 5 nights at Tutukaka and tried each restaurant there. All within very short walking distances from Oceans Hotel. We went to Matapouri Bay a couple of days and then travelled to Whananaki another day which is a bit of a distance and a metal corrugated road. Definitely take a sun umbrella with you to all the beaches unless you want to fry! There are no trees on the beaches I really think the shops at Tutukaka should hire out beach equipment such as umbrellas etc. There is a lovely deli there and if I was them, I would be offering sandwiches / picnics for beach goers who are staying in the hotel.

We visited in November when there were no crowds. The road in and out was nice and quiet. Beaches empty. We especially enjoyed the local Anglers club. Beautiful food, good music and friendly staff.

My Wife and I stayed at Tutukaka for our Anniversary.
We enjoyed our stay, it was a hot day and we had a swim in the pool before going to dinner.
The room met our expectations and plan to return again in the future and maybe bring our kids with us next time.

A beautiful, scenic and interesting rural area.
A beautiful, scenic and interesting rural area. Lovely views of the countryside, the ocean, small bays and the coast. Some nice places to park and take a walk. Highly recommended for those who want to "get away from it all", enjoy a weekend with the kids or a "romantic getaway". Only negative point, (based on my own personal experience) is the lack of quality, reasonably priced accommodation. I stayed at " Pacific Rendezvous Resort" and, (see my review on booking.com) was somewhat disappointed. Further disappointed by the content of the response to my review, (also viewable on booking.com). I'll search for a different place to stay when i next have the chance to visit and would recommend others to choose their accommodation with care so as to ensure that the enjoyment of a trip to such a lovely part of the country is not spoiled. TIP: Shop enroute prior to arrival if "self-catering".

My fit mum 88yrs, my older sister and myself all retired, decided to travel top of north island over the month of May 2022. It was relaxing to stay at Pacific Rendezous due to the many days travelling. We did everything we wanted. Lovely memory’s made while we could.
We walk over to whale bay, Rendezous tracks, day out in Whangarei, waterfalls walks, spa.

Lovely on first impressions but the 3 dinner options were tired.
Anglers club had fried food: pizza place friendly - should have gone to Schnapper Rock
Tutukaka's shops were upmarket and one can walk everywhere.
Hoping that this lovely place will spring into life agin once COVID has gone.
The location of this hotel is stunning with
vista views from room and grounds. I could name a few hotels with better views however they are major city hotels or a hotel directory overlooking the beach. This hotel offers views of the natural world and will take some beating.
Our hosts were very welcoming and their information booking was very well presented particularly local spots to visit, photos of beaches good. Ian you remind me of our oldest son, making sure to dot the Is and cross the T's.
Well done, many thanks
We had a lovely stay and our hosts were lovely people to have a chat to. The B&B is on top of the hill overlooking the beautiful harbour of Tutukaka so also nice and close for our early morning boat charter start. The room was lovely and spacious and the shower blew us away so an extra massage after being at sea all day was very welcome. A lovely breakfast and fresh warm loaf of home made bread awaited our arrival. Perfect.
Tutukaka Sunrise is private, spacious and very comfortable.
The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen lovely. The bathroom facilities were great. Beautiful views from the bedroom- the accommodation had everything we needed.
Petra was a warm and friendly host, she made us feel very welcome and cooked us a beautiful breakfast - the coffee was so good! We would definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you Petra
We liked the Bach boho feel and would recommend this stay to anyone wishing to explore the Tutukaka Coast. So much in a small area. The essentials are there and it wasn't hard to work out what we needed. No TV was great as we had a radio. Not for everyone but wake up to moreporks tuis and a rooster. Nature's heart beats here.
Easy to sleep in the dark cool quiet as the bed was so comfy.
This is our first time to visit this place, the hotel is large and very convenient, close to everything, the service is great, our apartment is very large, even has washing machine and dryer, the beds are large, i think it's super King, my daughter likes the sofa bed, she sad it's nice and comfortable.
We will live here again next summer, nice hotel.
The location is really good. One of the sides you can enjoy the harbor view of Tutukaka, while the other side is the ocean view. There are some facilities for you to enjoy the stay, such as hot spa tub, table game room, swimming pool, tennis yard, playground, BBQ equipments, private beach. We meet a fur seal when exploring one of the beaches area.
We were in the area specifically to dive with a local dive company to Poor Knights Islands. This location was only 5 minutes away from the dive shop and had a beautiful small beach right in front of the property. The living area was very spacious, 2 bedrooms, everything was clean and functional. Good kitchen supplies and a large deck out front.
Location and view is stunning also very quiet and peaceful. Good signage to help find the property and room. Probably a good option for accommodation in summer when an outdoor shower is less challenging than the time of year we stayed. I think the Kiwi room is fine if you consider it to be on a par with a basic camping ground cabin.
Beautiful view
Very comfortable
Modern throughout, great curtains!
Very nice pool and spa
Short walk down the hill to beach
Access to kayaks and paddle boards
Very close to Tutukaka and an hour away from the BOI
Host was friendly accomodating with two lovely dogs
Nice complimentary items, milk, cheese, crackers, fruit etc
I stayed here while doing my SCUBA dive certification and it could not have been more perfect. The hosts were welcoming and very accommodating, the included breakfast was magnificent and the apartment was very comfortable had absolutely everything you could need. I cannot wait to stay here again!!
The beach style of the location, cleanliness and especially the great long distance views to the sea, eg..the Poor Nights Islands.
The place with one of the best ocean views in Tutukaka, I guess..They should call it Ocean view Appartments, rather than vineyard Appartments.
The location was perfect! Great access to the rest of Tutukaka coastal bays. The accommodation was 5 star - so comfortable and fully equipped - with basil and other herbs in the garden a bonus!
Very comfortable, clean, big beds. Lovely carpet. Big rooms! Great choice of handsoaps and shampoo/conditioner. Felt very luxurious compared to other Hotels in the same price range.
We loved our stay at True North Tutukaka. Fantastic location, clean and tidy rooms with beautiful surroundings. Rebecca was lovely to deal with and very accommodating.
The serenity of the place. The view is great. Rebecca is an excellent host.
Close to Tutukaka, which was perfect because our intention was to go diving.
