I recently stayed at the Quality Hotel Expo and my experience was generally positive. The breakfast service was particularly outstanding, with a varied and generous choice to suit all tastes. Situated in Asker, 23 km from Oslo Central Station, Øvre Sem Gård features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.
The breakfast really is amazing, they offer a huge variety of food which we enjoyed sampling. The hotel is next to a shopping centre, which was handy for sorting out some things. It is also very handy to the highway, although roadworks meant we chose a suburban route instead, and those roads are very confusing. The room is simple, and what we expected. There are fast EV chargers close to the hotel, and the short term parking at the entrance to the hotel was handy for dropping off and picking up bags.
It was the first time I had rented a house instead of a hotel. I thought it would be difficult to get the keys and find the parking , but it was very easy and we were satisfied with everything, as if we were at home.
What a gem of a place. Simple, clean, well managed guest house. Wouldn't change a thing and would highly recommend. It's a bit of a hike from the center of Sandvika, but worth it.
