She generously offered to either prepare a meal for us or get groceries. What exceptional service! The house itself was stunning—a true Norwegian tree house with all the essentials. Beautiful modern Norwegian house in a terraced building on a slope above the lake. Absolutely unbeatable view from the living room with a large glass wall. Beautiful terrace in front of the house.
I can't rate the host because we didn't meet. Handing over the keys was completely trouble-free in the form of a key-box.

Most beautiful site and accommodations. Gorgeous old hotel with all the feel of a modern new facility. Large double room with lots of area (couch, table) with microwave, coffee/hot pot, and refrigerator in common area. Several areas to sit and gather or relax outside of room. Most friendliest welcoming staff and the BEST breakfast (homemade, not overwhelming with excessive choices and yet everything—real eggs, smoothies, yogurt, meats/cheese, etc., fabulous coffee). This is a gem!
The location was very good within walking distance from everything like shops, restaurants, and different shops. Around the house at least 4 or 5 restaurants within couple of meters walk. If I return to Notdden I would book it again. Also a walking distance from the bus stop.
The apartment was very spacious, parking place for our car just outside the front door. Kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable.
