The hotel is in a beautiful old building along Lange Haven canal, when we arrived we checked in a relaxed manner, sitting down with a cup of coffee, and this set the tone of our three days at Stadsvilla Mout. We found Schiedam to be an elegant neighbourhood, and with a map from the hotel we followed a suggested a walk to see the old gin distilleries and windmills, which we recommend. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with modern tasteful furniture. Wi-Fi worked well and staff was always friendly and available.
The tram stop to reach the centre of Rotterdam is 8 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a short list of recommended restaurants in walking distance and there is also a local shopping centre nearby in the 'Passage' which we found to be handy. In general one must plan the visit mindful that most shops and museums are closed on Mondays.

This is an excellent hotel. Elegant and sophisticated. The staff were exceptional and happy to assist with anything. As soon as you enter the hotel is a calm haven and the staff are friendly, organised and professional. Our room was spacious with amazing floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canal. The air conditioning was fabulous and very quiet.
We were able to walk to the main square from the hotel and even my mother who walks with a cane was able to get around to the best parts of the city.
We would stay here again.
The staff were amazing! They referred the hotel / B&B as a "family home", and they truly managed to live up to that name!
And despite me asking Pieter Jan, the nice gentleman who runs the establishment with his lovely wife Jeanette, if I could check in at around 22:00 due to my late flight, the man graciously waited by the door of the hotel to greet my and welcome me to the family home.
This was really the greatest hotel or B&B that I've stayed at in ages!
The room was spacious with plenty of lighting and a large bed. There was outside pace for sitting in the evening.
Maasland is only a few miles from Hook of Holland very port so very convenient as an overnight before or after a crossing.
Nice and very helpful owners. The hotel is situated in a quiet and beautiful area. Close to the underground metro station. Large and comfortable and equipped room. Good breakfast.
Lovely friendly atmosphere. Good Breakfast and Coffee and Tea always available. Great location as we needed to be in Maasland. Would definitely stay again.
