Villa Augustus, hotel in Dordrecht

Housed in a former water tower, a 15-minute walk from Dordrecht’s historic centre, Villa Augustus features spacious grounds including decorative gardens and an organic kitchen garden.

We stayed in a floating room. Although there is a plaque saying it dates from 1904 the barge itself is covered over and all that remains in a couple of sumptuous large rooms fitted with an enormous bed. The hotel itself is quirky and in great condition. We loved it. Top tip - give yourself some time to mooch around the hotel and the environs, it's exceptional.

Stayokay Hostel Dordrecht - Nationaal Park De Biesbosch, hotel in Dordrecht

The hostel Stayokay is a budget accommodation on the edge of the national park De Hollandse Biesbosch and near historical Dordrecht. It is situated in a green environment.

The room was amazing, fantastic decor, reminded us of Matisse or Hockney. Breakfast was top class and great value for money, and the dining room was very clean and relaxing. Enjoyed the beers in the evening, and the music being played.

B&B Belle Chambre - Luxe in Art Deco stijl, hotel in Dordrecht

Offering city views, B&B Belle Chambre - Luxe in Art Deco stijl is an accommodation set in Dordrecht, 21 km from Ahoy Rotterdam and 26 km from BCN Rotterdam.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely B&B. Sjoerd has done an amazing job in outfitting the rooms in Art Deco style and making them very comfortable in the process. The check in process was very smooth and we were delighted to discover how tastefully the rooms were decorated and how generously they were made ready for us. The range and quantity of the included food and drink was very generous, the bed was very comfortable, there were toiletries and slippers. Much thought had been involved in fitting out the rooms. Sjoerd is a generous, thoughtful and responsive host.

As many said, breakfast is cheap. Factory cheese and bread. Pastorised juice.. I checked back the photos because I never would pick such a location. Found out that the breakfast on the photo’s is not the same at all. - bread from bakery - rich fruit selection - more than one cheese - fresh juice

    The manager was extremely condescending.

The manager was extremely condescending. He acted as if he was doing me a favor by staying in his hotel. The hotel has a gate with a bell yo ring but the bell is not easily found after dark so yes I waited 30 minutes outside ringing the bell and no one opened the gate until a car and the gate opened. The manager blamed my incompetence. The manager refused to give me his name when I checked out but I could identify him by photo. Horrible experience thinking I would stay ocked out of hotel at 10 pm

We used to live in Dordrecht so it always feels like our second home. It's a lovely old own with plenty of unique shops, relaxing cafes, museums and nice walks around the canals. It is on the main train line from Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam so it's easy to do day trips to these places. You can also take the water ferry to Rotterdam and various other places from Dordrecht.

Surprised how unspoilt and picturesque Dordrecht was.

Surprised how unspoilt and picturesque Dordrecht was. It's not set up for tourism, though they are used to people from out of town with all the boats in the marina. Lots of cafes, and a few good places to eat. Close to Kinderdijk with the windmills. We stayed overnight on a stop over, but could of spent a couple of nights there, though probably not much longer than that.

Stayed in Dordrecht for the Dordt in stoom festival and it was wonderful and we will be back if we can ! The old town is pretty and the steam boats provided a great atmosphere in the old port. The only problem we had was that some places - like the tourist office and ticket booths - did not take either visa or mastercard - luckily we manged to get cash out but would have been in trouble over the weekend if this had not worked.

This is a very chic and elegant small apartment, very conveniently located for the town centre and the station. I found the bed extremely comfortable. Not a lot in the way of kitchen equipment, but enough for simple cooking. I didn't meet the host but he was extremely responsive to messages and texts which I really appreciated. I found Dordrecht to be a wonderful town, with fabulous riverside areas and many individual and interesting shops.

Everything! Our stay at Villa Conti was the best experience we have had in our travels. We were hosted by Astrid and Charles and no detail was overlooked. We were greeted warmly by Astrid and it was a pleasure speaking with Charles. Breakfast was always delicious and delightful. Location was prime and we so enjoyed exploring the streets of Dordrecht. Our bed so comfortable and the apartment so cozy. This is the place to stay!

The whole place was magical, like the whimsical brainchild of Beatrix Potter and Lemony Snicket. I would return to Dordrecht just to stay here for the weekend! It was such a pity we planned only one night. The food was lovely, the decor quaint, and the room extremely comfortable. Book here for a memorable stay. Tips: be sure to book your restaurant spot in advance, it was full up during our stay.

Jeannette and her husband even picked us up at the station. They were lovely!! What a find! The best view in the city, I wish we could've stayed longer! This is one of the best locations if not the very best location to stay at in DORDRECHT! The antique building with the best modern-day amenities one can ask for. 10+

Perfectly located in the historical centrum of Dordrecht. Koos greeted us personally and showed us around the beautiful large apartment, which we rented for two people but can easily accommodate more. It's a former art gallery, so plenty of beautiful things everywhere, and even a piano!
