I remember staying at this hotel back in the 90's-early 2000's as a child. I'm really glad that to this day, they have maintained the place, especially recently, it's been really clean despite the old fashioned layout. The staff were nice and the location is near malls and places to eat.

We used Miri as a jump off point for a day visit to The Kingdom of Brunei (which I was not impressed), but before and after we walked the Miri waterfront and went into the local area around the hotel. We felt safe everywhere and even purchase items at several 7/11’s. We even spent several hours in an open air 24hr coin laundromat washing and drying our clothes with nothing but smiles from locals. Afterwards we met 3 more of our party at the Ming Bar and Restaurant for satay and pandam chicken rolls. Access to and from the airport is extremely efficient from this hotel in Miri.

Miri is not a touristic town.
Miri is not a touristic town. The Nia caves located about 185 km away is not well connected by public transport. Taxis are few especially for the return journey so you need to be careful to get your return travel arrangements well in advance I spoke to some taxi drivers and they demanded RM 400 for this round visit to Nia cave which is very expensive. Hiring a car for a day would be much cheaper
The Grand Old Lady oil rig is located about 45km away but I tried to get grab and air asia rides but could not find any drivers. So I did not go there.

My wife and I had a great stay at the Kingsley hotel in Miri.The staff in general were very warm, welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to see that we were taken care of. The room and the toilet were clean and this was what we wanted most. Being centrally located,we could just walk to the malls and eateries around. All in all, a memorable stay. Well done, Kingsley and thank you for your hospitality.

Miri is a transition city-It has some pleasant restaurants and it is safe to walk-but there is not that much to do and see, I would recommend to book a hotel with swimming pool attached-so you can use this as a transition day in a more demanding tour program-and make sure this is a day to relax, enjoy some good food-and rest well.
Actually i love the room, just that a little unclean in the toilet, found some/few of the guest hair falls still on the floor, some of the wall are cracked kinda mess when you look at it and when you walked tru the hall before entering room cigarettes smells really bad from the hall way also tried to use hotel wifi cannot go tru, so no internet connection.. very problematic. I hope in the future please do a bit some of the maintenance to the room n the facilities.
- bear in mind we got our rooms at a good rate via booking.com, so it was really value for money.
- initially booked for 1 night only, we ended up extending to 4 days and 3 nights.
- carpark is ample in front of the hotel. But dont forget to pay the (cheap) parking fee.

For your information this is my first time stay at this hotel. The view is so nice. All i need is fulfill at your hotel example this hotel is very strategic where i can go shopping next to your hotel, my son very happy going to swimming and of course my family member love to having breakfast at here. Im so surprise my apartment is so big and family member so happy too. Will be stay here again when am going to Miri again.
The only hotel that provide 2 queen beds with a very good price. Suitable for 4 or 5 family members to stay. Free parking is available. The staff very friendly too. The bathroom quite big. There's electric kettle too and no cup. There's only provided you soap and there's no other amenities such as 3in1 coffee, tea and sachet of sugar. But there's provided you a drinking water bottle.
The room had an excellent rain shower, and the toilet was clean. The room also has clean beddings and sheets. The hotel location is a walking distance of Miri waterfront, convenience store, and easy access to the local coffee shops and cafes. Seafood restaurants are a walking distance of the hotel.
Miri is a small city. Kingwood’s location is excellent. Walking distance to food, coin laundromat and 3 malls.
Pillows are firm and beds are comfy. Single bed is rather small in size but overall comfortable. Hotel provided electric kettle and bottled water.
Good location close to lots of restaurants and night markets. Room itself was fairly clean. There is a lot of noise coming from a local bar until quite late in the morning (nothing the hotel can do about this but good to know before booking)
