Places to visit were the large park approaching Eagle Square, the Jetty, Maha Tower, beautiful sunsets, Giant Eagle Statue, Shopping Plaza & serene beach near the jetty. Maha Tower changes colour after sunset. Hotel staff very helpful & friendly & free buffet breakfast was also very good with a variety of choices of food. Afternoon high tea was also included for free for an extra nibble with coffee, tea or juice.

The people , the food, overall prices as this is a duty free island... Very easy to navigate in a car.. plenty of places tosee and experience.. Cable Car... Oriental Village, Resteruants, Pentai Chenang.. Yellow Beach Cafe.. Underwater World... Green Coconuts... Malaysian Cuisine. Thai Cuisine, Indian Cuisine...all excellent.. Good Clean Water...No Tummy upsets as per other Asian experiences.

Town area and not very crowded. Good for vacation and stay for 3-4days will be enough for whole tour.
Going to the beach area just around 30 mins drive and not very far away.
Just that need to find place to eat and place to go around the town. As newbies reached the town didnt know much about the area.

An excellent place to visit close enough to the main jetty port! The eagle square and a few natural parks (GEO park, Legenda Park) that are free and beautiful.
The Maha tower is close by as well as well as a shopping mall and the local market on Wed. and Saturday nights is excellent to visit.
I think to explore you'd only need 3-4 days and best to relocate to other areas of the island for a longer stay.

We visited few of the duty free wine shops and we get really good bargain for the good wines. Chocolates shop as well are all within Kuah. We managed to buy some fresh prawns and crabs from the local and brought to the local restaurant to cook, the best ever!

Kuah is a lovely introduction to Langkawi.
Kuah is a lovely introduction to Langkawi. Close to the ferry port with a beautiful park to walk around with stunning wild monkeys and birds.
It is taking time to recover from COVID and so, lots of bars are closed either permanently or for renovations. Food options are good. You can use grab to book taxis and cutti cutti apps to book ferries and activities.
The roads are in excellent condition and very quiet, so renting a bike is enjoyable. The bank garage has excellent bikes.
I used the dentist ,who was excellent, kind ,gentle and reasonably priced, I was able to get an appointment the next day.
Although predominately Moslem ,you can find alcoholic drinks in some restaurants and in shops such as 7/11 and local owner shops. Good coffee shops.
Hotel in centre of the main town of Langkawi, Kuah. Although right in the commercial centre, most shops were closed due to covid. Room was comfortable, aircon really cold which was what I like coming from a cold country. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool which would be nice enough if not for the number of staycationers with children jumping and yelling around the pool and in the pool. There is also a fitness centre which fortunately was not discovered by the staycationers therefore remaining quiet.
The location is great. It is near to a lot of duty free shops. Pekan kuah and jetty are also just 10-15 min away by car. The house is huge and comfortable. There was enough space for a group of 11 adults. The host who was in touch with us during our stay was very friendly. We were allowed early check in and late check out at no extra charges. We really appreciate it as we originally had a few hours to spare between check out and our flight. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.
we stayed here only for 1 night as we arrived from airport in the evening, and going to koh lipe the next day. the hotel is about 2.3km from kuah jetty. area was quiet and not many action due to ramadhan, but there were a few free duty shops nearby for light shopping. room was small without window with 2 single beds. beds were comfy, everything was clean, aircond and wifi was working. room was cheap to rm50/night. recommended for a short stay or in transit to somewhere else.

Condo is really comfortable. The unit has washer and makes it very convenient for long stay. The location is very good, near many good restaurants. Every morning we walked to have breakfast in the area before sight seeing. The nice thing is is the local people live in Kuah which makes the experience even better. The owner is responsive and made our stay enjoyable. And we loved the fantastic view!
My RAINFOREST SUITE hotel was a value-for-money place to stay in Kuah. The management was very helpful in every detail since we checked in and out by ourselves. Rooms were spacious, clean and supplied with all basic needs. It was a great location with just a walking distance (less than 2KM) to many night restaurants and Eagle Square. Thank you. Very good hotel in Kuah. The rooms are a bit old and could be renovated, but still all worked well and was really clean. The hotel is located close to the shops and Maha Tower. The staff is helpful and friendly. They didn’t make a problem with later check out. we fully recommend the place.

The location of this hotel is great. Just 5 mins from Kuah town and Dataran Lang/Jetty. It has complete facilities inside the room but you can’t expect it to be like 5 star hotels. They provide 2 beds, aircond, refrigerator, tv, water heater and small wardrobe.
It was very nice place, the staff was very friendly, offer to give us towels and umbrella before we go out from hotel by our car .. they exchange rooms for us as well because we want to get connecting rooms .. the breakfast was really great and nice
We love the kids pool and big outdoor pools. Kids enjoy playing and swimming. The family suite is nicely designed and cleaned. If you rented a car, 10 min driving to Tanjung Rhu, 10 min to Kuah Town. Slightly further form Cenang, about 20 minutes.
Breakfast buffet was superb, all the staff are super friendly, the room is clean and in good condition. Location wise is very good at the heart of Kuah town. Overall I enjoy stay over there, will be coming back to same place in future.
