The view & location wee great. The property was absolutely falling apart. To point that it was dangerous. We were electrocuted by the light switches. Part of the concrete balcony fell down the cliff. This place is not safe.

Very different according to what day of the week you go.
Very different according to what day of the week you go.
At weekends and holidays it gets very busy indeed with nudists and gays, who can be very overt with flaunting themselves, plus partying through the night until 4am making a lot of noise.
The rest of the time it is a beautiful place with nice sea and restaurants along the beach and very nice people

Beach is beautiful.
Beach is beautiful. Water is good for swimming, however there were some occasions when there was sewage sludge in the water. Nudist beach which was interesting. Can be too much with exhibitionism especially at either end and can be very noisy late afternoon to 4am.

Zipolite is beautiful and interesting.
Zipolite is beautiful and interesting. My husband and I like to walk and/or swim a lot on our holidays. We were disappointed that we could not swim in the ocean and walking was risky on the narrow 2-lane highway running through town, particularly since there were few sidewalks. The grocery stores were reasonably priced and Roca Blanca was a delightful little oasis of small shops, artisans and restaurants.

This is an end of the road old hippy beach town with no corporate presence. No big hotels or chain anything. Frankly it is kind of a dump and has no history, not even a fishing village claim. The beach and ocean are beautiful, but the entire coastline here is not suitable for swimming or even dunking. Very hot and humid even during my stay in early Dec 2023. Lots of massage, yoga, and alternative lifestyle things going on here. Lots of restaurants, bars and coffee places. Easy to just walk around the village. Just outside the village and up the hill are some better hotels with pools but high prices also, 200usd. If you want typical resort life you will be happier in Puerto Escondido area.

Best beach in the area. Not a lot to do .
Best beach in the area. Not a lot to do . The food at a few restaurants are way above average. Two amazing ice cream shops. And two different bank machines for cash withdraws. Smoke is easy to find and casual.
The hotel was pretty good for its price. The room was somewhat small, but it had a great terrace which compensated for everything else. There was a small fridge, a coffee maker, a hammock and a couple of chairs with a table, so I had everything I needed. The hotel is a little bit far from the center of the village - like 1mile walk. The beach is less than half a mile away and the nearest grocery store was about a quarter mile away.
Gorgeous hotel, beautiful big room, amazing staff and the location is just a dream, away form the hustle and bustle but still you can walk everywhere in town. I travelled by myself as a solo female traveller and really enjoyed my time, also felt super safe walking by myself in the dark. The beach is a dream, if you like rocks like me. Food was delicious too. Staff is AMAZING. I will stay there again in the future.
new, clean, the staff is super kind, food is delicious and not expensive at all, perfect location, amazing service at the beach, totally recommend it.
they were super helpful with my transportation from and to the airport, I lose my flight and arrived to different airport, they helped me with that too in short notice and at good price. the rooms have good AC, very important in. Zipolite.
It’s beautiful, our room was amazing with a lovely view (especially at sunrise and sunset), the staff are great especially Victor who really takes care to make sure guests feel welcome. You can also use the neighbouring hotel Casa Sol owned by the same people. The food is excellent in the restaurant. The private beach is a plus too! A nice short walk into town.
Corrina is a lovely host! Her hotel was beautiful and in a nice location on the far side of Playa Zipolite. About a 15-20 min walk from the center. Close to cafes and restaurants. Corrina was very helpful and accomodating. There is a massage place across the street where I got an incredible 60 min massage from Monse. Highly recommend it!
The rooms are large and decorated very nicely, minimalist chic style. Hosts were very quick to respond to any issues/questions we had. WiFi was good for working. The pool was perfect for cooling off from the heat. Nice cafe and bar. Only 1 min walk to the beach and less than 5 mins to the main town area of Zipolite.
For the 1st 2 days we had a third floor room with the balcony overlooking spectacular Zipolite beach & sunset!! The location on the beach is excellent. The people running Cafe Maya were lovely and helpful and the Cafe was good. The mosquito nets were charming and proved to be necessary.
Wow, Incredible! The place is so nice and chill, the guest are super relax and friendly, people from all world.
Ms. Ana (Manager) is very attentive and kind.
An important point is that the sleeping area have A/C, mostly Zipolite is very hot.
The beach is very close.
a lovely hotel in a hidden spot that's much quieter than anything on the beach, but it's still super close to the beach. calm vibe, no parties, cute pool and comfy rooms and beds. also hot shower which seems isn't obvious in zipo.
Bright and spacious! Clean and quiet! The owners brought me a blender to use for a detox cleanse I was doing! So grateful! It’s also across the street from Postres del Sol which has the best brownies in Oaxaca im sure of it!
The hotel itself is great. Well kept, clean. Friendly staff, attentive to detail. Surrounding vegetation is lovely. Cabañas are beautiful. Mosquito nets work well. Steps away from the beach. Very quiet during the DAY.
The most beautiful hotel of zipolite, on the beach but only 5mn walk to the main street. We had a very spacious suite overlooking the beach. It was very quiet. The welcome desk people were very helpful and nice.
We loved everything about Casa Sol. The property is gorgeous. The location is great—set away from the main beach a little but very quick to get to. And the staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Excellent location, right on the beach, magic sound of waves, close to the restaurants, excellent internet connection, clean, very friendly and helpful team at the hotel, we had a great time!
Lovely place and very helpful staff. Just by the beach and close to lots of great restaurants and just around the corner from Playa del Amor. Natural decor and lovely hammocks.
Most beautiful place we have ever stayed at. The staff treats you like family. Best view of all of all Zipolite! 188 steps from the beach and great restaurants in town!
Very close to the beach. Loved the style of the room. Chic and modern. Shop and bar were cute. Thought the town was so charming. Would love to return to Zipolite.
Chill atmosphere, good staff, centrally located, sitting areas, on the beach, away from the more noisy hotels, gorgeous sunsets and sun rising, nice pools
