Nice, typical place in Las Coloradas. Very small village with not much, the hotel has only few rooms which makes it cosy and intimate. The rooms are comfortable, the outside shower is charming.

We had a 2 night stay here. The room was comfortable and overlooked the water. Breakfast was included and was really nice. We also had dinner on one of the nights and the food was lovely. The kids enjoyed making use of the pool. Staff were helpful.

Fantastic location, great pool & terrace area on the lagoon. Room was clean, bed comfortable, air con cool & shower hot. Sunset cocktails on the roof was perfection - and they had a happy hour! Friendly staff who couldn’t do more for us, despite our lack of Spanish. Looked after us even when the electricity went out in the whole of Rio Lagartos meaning there was no air con / hot water / fridge etc.

The staff was very professional and comprehensive when we asked for a change of dates for our stay. They organized a transport for us to Tizimin with a colectivo (70 pesos) and they offer tours to the lagoon.
The room was clean and corresponded to pictures/description. The location is central and close to a minimarket.

Cute accomodation right next to the ocean/harbor.
The ladies who run the place are super nice. They speak no/little English but are very helpful with translation. I hardly speak spanish so we're in the same boat.
The accomodation is basic but has all that you need. The A/C works well. Entrance is secure and private, and there is wifi. As mentioned by others, the wifi is not the greatest, sometimes slow, and sometimes nothing for a few seconds. Rio Lagartos isn't perse a metropole so you should not expect to be able to skype with your grandma in 4K without problems haha.
The G-maps gps location is accurate but the building doesn't look like a traditional hotel. Just ask some of the people who hang out there. You can also see the big flamingo painting from the street.
Parking is street parking, free. No problems.
The town doesn't seem to get a lot of tourist, or maybe it was not the season. Everything is walking distance. Nice vibes, also at night. Plenty of stores, street vendors, restaurants, friendly people. I felt safe.
If you need a tour by boat, there are a million people who are willing to sell. Lots of birds to see.
I heard there are no banks/atms in Rio Lagartos (didn't check) so choose the pay-in-advance option or bring cash.
