Our stay at Casa Mauna was excellent. The property looks exactly as it does on the pictures and was extremely well kept and maintained. The Vegan food options offered a lot of variety and the portions were ample, this included breakfast which was exceptional. The vibe was very chill and as I was travelling with 2 children so it was nice that the property was small enough that we could all freely and safely be around the rooms/restaurant/pool without needing to stay together the whole time. It was an easy walk down to the beach, which was beautiful and almost deserted. As with most places along the pacific it was not ideal for swimming but you could certainly bob about in the shallower parts. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodated all of our needs.

It's a wonderful place in one of the most beautiful beaches in Oaxaca. I loved how the huts are built to fit into nature. We had a fully equiped outdoor kitchen, a breakfast terrace with a stunning view as well as a sun deck with two sun beds. Alberto, the owner, is very invested in the place and always there if you need anything. He even cut us fresh coconuts right from the palm trees. This is not an anonymous big hotel, it's a real Mexican place where you feel at home and as part of the family.

This is my first time writing a hotel review, but I felt compelled to share just how incredible this place is. As an experienced traveler who has stayed in many luxurious and unique hotels, this one truly stands out. While the rooms aren't the most luxurious due to their age and could use a refresh, what really impressed me was the glowing feedback from previous guests, which convinced me to give it a try. I'm so glad I did because my expectations were far exceeded. The hotel's relaxed vibe, private beach, and the freedom to fully embrace a naturist lifestyle without feeling out of place all contributed to a truly unique experience. The cabañas were nice. Compact but nice. Quiet at night. Internet worked fine - no issues. Rooms cleaned daily. No AC but for me personally the fan was more than enough.
