Very nice town and location. People being the downside of the trip, it may be that they got it easy with many people going there so they don’t have to be friendly nor serviceable. Or they are just tired of getting crap from tourists but this location is a long way from the level of service you see in many other places in México.

Nice little town.
Nice little town. However, our entire schedule was disrupted by non empathic police officers. There was a tricky no-parking sign on the other side of the street which applies for both sides. They removed our plates (along with 4 other tourist vehicles) for parking on a prohibited place and asked to go pay the ticket to another town (30 min driving). I arrived to the place in 30min and they said I had to wait for more than 90 minutes until the police officer bringing my plates, arrives at the place. Short story, they literally said “we are gonna help you by making an exception, and will attend you today (not until next Monday), but you have to wait several hours”. 4 hours later, I finally was able to get my plates and decided to leave the town so I won’t need to face again with those horrid “public servers”. As most police officers, they only want money without thinking that tourism is what holds this place economy. Won’t ever come back.

Very turisty town OMG!!!
Very turisty town OMG!!! This place realy gets packed on the weekend, people everywhere!!! Great for shopping and just hanging out and having a great time, awesome restaurants too with awesome view of Peña de Bernal. A must do for your bucket list, we even climed the rock that was pleanty of exercise for one day, then drinks which are accessible all over!!!👍👍

The setting was beautiful with Bernal's big boulder in full view. Many in our group climbed the big boulder and enjoyed the views and challenge.
The city center was interesting with lovely restaurants, cafes and pubs.
In all, very enjoyable.
Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated room.
Friendly and accommodating staff.

Within easy walking distance to downtown - little over 2 km from the trailhead leading up to Peña de Bernal on the opposite side of town.
There are no signs on the street indicating the place is a hotel, but it is the second gate on your lefthand side about 100 meters down the street, when you enter from the south.
Casa Morada is a gem of a hotel. Everything was more than perfect. Fer was ourstanding and very helpful. There is a shop with home made marmalades, chocolates and spices and you can taste them before you buy. The room was beautiful and the view fantastic, towards the monolith. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Everything was near, restaurants, plaza, church. This is an amazing place and we cannot wait to come back next time.
They were able to suit our last time needs and request talking directly to the hotel personal. If you are a bit rustic, this is the place. Location out of the city center, nice walk if you like walking. We are not a tv lover family and could wacht ESPN tennis final on the lobby tv. Very functional and spacious parking.
The hotel has nice places to sit outside and the roof top view is great. Some of the rooms are quite small and plain and others are large and nicely decorated. Some have cute balconies. It is a walk down hill and back up the other side of the hill to get to the main square and shopping areas.
Breakfast is not available in the hotel. But lunch & dinner is excellent! The hotel has old world charm and my view of La Peña was beyond breathtaking. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was large, lovely and well-appointed.

The space was very clean with amazing views of the Pena de Bernal from the balcony and huge bedroom windows. Friendly and accommodating management, and a good location within easy walking distance from the center.
best deal in Bernal. just a 10-15 Minutes walk to the center. Room has everything you need, comfortable bed, nice rooftop terrace, safe parking lot included. Would definitely stay here again.
