The property is delightful with all the flowers and fountain and colonial architecture. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and gorgeous, and we loved the little restaurant where breakfast was served!

The location was perfect, just a short walk into centro. Quiet and safe, the casitas are spaced throughout the property which is tranquil, clean and relaxing. I could see a small group of friends staying on site, or a family. A real retreat, yet close to the action of Alamos. The bedding, kitchen facilities and living area are conducive to gathering (we were in the 3-bdrm house).

Alamos is such an interesting colonial town. So much history and architecture. Don't miss the Mirador; perhaps take a trolley tour. We also tasted bacanora for the first time. Good dining options, strolling and photography. Next time i want to do more hiking in the local hills. Also, don't miss a side trip to La Aduana.

Alamos is a SAFE, very friendly city with lots of foreigners (mainly Americans with Arizona ties). The locals are very friendly. You have to pass through the "bigger city" of Navojoa to get to Alamos. I found people in Navojoa as extremely friendly as well.

Excellent for a weekend stay, but not for more than two nights. There is really nothing to do. The town would benefit from more diversity. Maybe some day trips to farms or ranches. Culinary walkabout.

Alamos is a beautiful, tranquil, traditional Mexican village. It has a great vibe where you can just experience what Mexico is truly like. A good place to unwind and relax too as it is a village so it has a lovely slow pace of life. There are delicious authentic Mexican restaurants 'El Sol hotel' specifically and 'La Doña.' D'Vicio coffee shop also has great coffee.

What a town!
What a town! Alamos has it all: history; warm, friendly, people; beautiful views. Depending on the time of year, this part of Sonora is either a rain forest or semi-arid. Make sure you go to the Mirador for great views of Tarahuamara and Yaqui land. Its so small that its possible to walk everywhere. Dont miss the fish tacos!
