I expected a bit more from this allegedly iconic place. Having been to Monaco, Cote d'Azur, Marbella etc., this one looks a bit shabby in comparison. Hardly anything to see beyond beaches, restaurants, sea trips etc. But overall a nice place for holidays with kids - great weather, lovely beach, warm waters.

Despite the hype created by media for safety concerns it is very much safe in Acapulco only need to avoid Bad Neighborhoods to see Acapulco securely, stick to the tourist districts and avoid venturing too far off the beaten path, particularly at night or while you’re alone – this will keep you away from potential dangers.
Despite this, Acapulco has a plethora of fascinating sites worth seeing. At La Quebrada, you may witness the cliff divers, known as clavadistas, perform. Cliff diving demonstrations by these courageous young sportsmen are always a sight to see. A quiet stroll along Acapulco’s stunning beaches for a more peaceful experience. Sinfonia del Mar is also great for watching the sunset. I strongly recommend if you’re traveling alone, staying away from parts of Acapulco where tourists are less frequent is imperative. There is a general trend toward a greater incidence of both minor and severe crimes in residential sections of the city. Additionally, it’s not a good idea to go to other parts of Guerrero since the overall crime rate in the state is far greater than that of Acapulco. Refrain from using illegal taxis anywhere in the surrounding region. Instead, use trustworthy transportation providers suggested by the employees at your resort or a law enforcement official.

I was very lucky to have the taxi driver, Jose Luis, he was out driver and tourist guide for the same hourly rate, he is one of the best and very honest and polite!!!
This is what Acapulco is all about. Forget the fancy hotels and the shallow facade of the newer parts of the town; real Acapulco is here, in this fading but beautiful hotel. Ignore the reviews about steps and distance from restaurants (it's on a cliff - what do you expect?) Staff are faultless, breakfast is fantastic, and the views are the best you can get.
nice beach, nice pools (2 pools for adults only, 1 for everybody), nice garden. All rooms with balcón looking to the sea. 3 restaurants on site. Good breakfast and dinner buffet. Hotel is in the very center of Acapulco, allowing walk to shops and restaurants outside hotel. Staff friendly, cleaning efficient.
Look… Doug seems to be a nice guy but damn was i disappointed. Not just in the place but the area. Actually in Acapulco in general. Kind of a overpriced trash fest in my opinion. Definitely stay in Diamante or Las Brisas side. Much nicer beach and facilities. Bed was nice and big.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, despite being an old hotel the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is quite good, the beach club is very close 8min walk from the hotel and like the staff is extremely friendly, it has a lot potential for improvement
Place is nice.. Acapulco is expensive,this is the best price for room i guess.. you can walk to Caleta beach and papagayo..its 20 min walk..or you can take a half dolar local bus..so its ok..do not expect smth spectacular,but it really ok
Casa Jaguar is a little oasis, green, well kept, with tasteful decoration and super friendly and helpful staff. While my stay was very short, I would definitely go back there if I went to Acapulco again.
It is good hotel - great location, OXXO very close, street tacos. Comfortable (but a bit old) rooms, relatively clean. We liked especially hotel beach - beach service fantastic. Swimming pools also OK.
For the price we paid, this hotel shattered our expectations. The room was incredible with a postcard perfect beach and bay view and even a balcony. The staff was also very friendly and attentive.
Good location with numerous pools and a private beach. The hotel rooms are very large and most if not all have a bay view. The bartender prepares great cocktails and the restaurant has good food.
The price for the location and size of the room with air con was great in comparison to the very grand hotels along the main beach. We also had a balcony and a communal pool which was lovely.
