Abu and Ali are very attentive, structured, serious people and run a tight ship. As a result, the place is very clean and quiet and well-cared for. They communicated the rules and their expectations at the beginning. Ali gave a tour of the island when I arrived and loaned me snorkeling fins for free. The included breakfast was really good, and my room was very, very comfortable. The wifi worked quite well. Ali also proactively gave me all of the information I needed for the public ferry, helped me get my things to the dock when leaving, and followed up later to make sure I had arrived safely at my destination.

The place is very nice, room was big enough and clean. The hotel may provide the fins for snorkeling as well as excursions. The breakfast was tasty. They packed the fruits for us as we were often going for diving right from the morning. Also our wishes were satisfied in terms of breakfast. I loved the island - going to return soon.

AYIRA Maldives, hotel in Feridhoo

Facing the seafront in Feridhoo, AYIRA Maldives features a garden and a shared lounge. The property has garden views.

We had an unforgettable week at Guest House AYIRA in the Maldives(Feridhoo). From the moment we arrived until our departure, Amjad and his wife made us feel right at home. Their hospitality is truly exceptional, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The traditional Maldivian breakfast was a highlight every morning, and we highly recommend trying the grilled fish – it was absolutely delicious! Beyond the incredible food, there are countless activities to enjoy on the island, from snorkeling and fishing to island hopping and cultural experiences. Amjad took care of all the arrangements, making everything seamless and stress-free. If you're looking for a warm, personalized experience in the Maldives, this Guest House is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!

Feridhoo is excellent choice for those who want to relax without any hurry. No agressive promotions and tourist traps, just you and the nature. You can see everything, you can walk everywhere (with respect to local citizens ofcource), all is safe even at night. The transer from Malè to Feridhoo is a little difficult, but host provided all the actual info and helped with everything, so no worries. The ocean is stunningly beautiful. Do not miss the chance to snorkle or dive there.

The island is still not very touristy even if the structures that are there are well organized. The people who live there are very helpful to tourists. In addition, the island is served by a public boat service organized in such a way that you can visit the other islands of the atoll at a very minimal cost. Also to keep in mind the possibility of spotting small sharks (swimming near the coral reef), manta rays but above all dolphins (in my specific case while I was sitting on the public beach, the one to the right of the port, not to be confused with the bikini beach, I saw a beautiful dolphin).

It’s a quiet local island with no hotels and only a few tourists. The sea is warm and beautiful, with alive corals and lots of fish, even sting rays or turtles can be seen - a paradise for snorkelling. The beach is marvellous. The island is green, about half is the jungle. There are just a few restaurants and shops. Locals are very friendly and keep the island clean.

Great house reefs for snorkellers and divers.

Great house reefs for snorkellers and divers. Lots of live coral and beautiful fishes, turtles, and other sea creatures. However, the transportation to Feridhoo is their limitation to limited options and schedules. When the ocean is in good condition, the travel time for a speed boat is 1.5 hours direct and only one scheduled time per day per way. However, with my experience with bad weather and rough sea ( September, their rainy season) it took us nearly 3.5 hours by speedboat with an extra transfer). But when arrived on the island, all of that was worth it. We love Feridhoo.

The island of Feridhoo itself is beautiful, wild nature, beautiful beaches, few tourists. You can totally relax there and forget about the normal world. The people on the island are very kind. There are also a lot of coral reefs, you can see lots of beautiful fish (e.g. Nemo and Dori :)) I recommend Aliha Cafe - with very good prices, tasty food. And the owner is very kind and positive person :)
