Le Clos Des Bains is a new clean and convenient accommodation 15 minutes from the airport. There is a Foodcourt a few minutes drive as well if you need a feed as well. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The room could do with less furniture so you have room to open your luggage. The internet worked well as well. The morning staff were friendly and check out was quick and easy. The bay is a short two minute walk round the corner and makes for a lovely walk along the beach. If you want to swim, just walk a little further to the public access beach for a lovely sunrise dip and amazing view.

Blue bay is perfect for a typically Mauritian beach holiday. There are no large shops or fancy restaurants. There is a shopping centre a short ride away, but in general this is a quiet area, which is exactly what we wanted. It was our fifteenth, yes 15th visit to Le Peninsula Bay hotel, and it is perfect for our needs. The hotel is not a 4 or 5 star, but a very good 3 star. Most rooms have sea views. Try the Ocean View rooms. Really worth it.

Excellent beach.
Excellent beach. Lots of outdoor options -- boat trips, SCUBA, snorkelling, wildlife tours. The Bougainville Restaurant was superb.
The nearby BoVallon Shopping Centre was new, and a great place to shop.

Near the Air Port. Excellent shopping Mall. Great local markets. Many good (local) restaurants. Great diving spot.
Driving in Mauritius is a challenge. Although they drive on the left (Like in South Africa) the roads are mostly very narrow. Motorists stop on these narrow streets to pop into a shop. You have to find a way around them. The M2 highway is a very good road, but full of roundabouts. Every 3,4 Km there is a roundabout.

The village is quit silent and there are not so many people.
What is little bit disadvantage, there is just one small shop and only about three restaurants. If you are looking for night life is better to go to the flic flac resort. But we were very happy about staying in Blue Bay.

What an amazing place to stay and the locals where very friendly and always willing to assist when needed. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys snorkeling. Just remember when you go to take your snorkels and shoes to go into the sea. This was a beautiful and amazing holiday with so much beauty.
I can not complaint nothing! Everything was totally perfect - location, comfy room facing the ocean with amazing views, simple but delicious and fresh breakfast, helpful staff, close to nice restaurant and directly on beautiful beach with best snorkeling places over the island. I can only recommend this property for all travelers. Blue Bay is so unspoiled place, piece of paradise. I will come back!
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Blue Bay marine protected area and the coral areas accessible directly from the hotel beach. Corals in good condition only 5 meters from the seashore (at the closest) with plenty of small fish, and other coral species and bigger fish further out. The restaurants were great, with excellent cooks and staff, and room cleaning spotless.
We stayed just for a single night before leaving for the airport, but we liked what we saw. A nice clean room with perfectly working air condition, on-site restaurant (we even got a boxed breakfast for our early start), nice pool, friendly staff. And the Blue Bay beach is just a few steps away, offering the best snorkeling possibilities we've seen on the island.
Blue Bay is a very nice place to stay. Beautiful beach 5 minutes walk, restaurants near Chantauvent Guest House, and a taxi if you need one just round the corner. Some staff members are really helpful and very polite. Chantauvent Guest House is located in the perfect spot and looks great.
