Les Trois-Islets is a great location in Martinique, with many restaurants and boutiques around and a large shopping center 20mn away. The beach Anse Mitan is small and I don't recommend to go therefor more than half a day. You need a car to travel all around to different beaches such as Pointe Marin, Les salines, Anse d'Arlet.

while we spent most of our time at our hotel next door, we walked through the area and had drinks; plenty of bars and restaurants as well as shops; there is even a golf course not even 5 minutes away; would be a great place for a week or two

A lovely area, but to visit other parts of the island you have to drive back to the main road which takes about 20 minutes. You need a car. Plenty of places to eat. If self-catering it is advisable to shop at the large Carrefour at Ducos. The beaches are clean, take your snorkelling equipment with you as there are loads of fish. If you need GLUTEN FREE products take your own. Did not find any gluten free bread on the Island!!!

You need to be careful where exactly you book the accommodation and check if there is a beach at a walking distance from your house. To stay in Martinique car is a must to go anywhere however it is more comfortable to be nearby at least one of the beaches. I definitely recommend visiting one of the beach restaurants and try delicious creole cuisine. Prices are mostly the same everywhere. Beaches are mostly empty, only on Sundays, local people take families and friends and spend a day on the beach.

I found that trois-ilets is the ideal vacation spot, My accommodation was close to everything within walking distance. Many eating places, our favorite was havana cafe, the food and service was good. Nice beaches within walking distance and safe for the children. Many stores in the area with prices comparable if not better in the capital, The marina again within walking distance where one can get sea tours from several operators there. At the marina you can get the ferry to fort de france it operates on sked. At the entrance to the marina there is a shop you must visit. It is MOMO Scream.....heavenly sobert/ice cream truly delicious. Also not too far away there is the sugar cane museum and Josephine Bonaparte museum.

This hotel is set on beautiful grounds, with it's own private beach, and easy access to other beaches in the area. It's also very convenient for the ferry to Fort de France. There's a nice shopping area just next to the hotel with a number of restaurants. Breakfast is quite nice, and the breakfast room has wonderful views. I actually got sick during the visit, but the hotel staff was extremely helpful, getting me a doctor and preparing special foods for me. I thank them very much for that.

Very lovely hotel, staff and owner were extremely friendly and kind. Beautiful views from the hotel over the bay. The villa that we stayed in was very relaxing with the small garden and the perfect jacuzzi. On its own, the breakfast is a bit expensive (23€), but if you consider the total price of room+breakfast, it is ok. The rooms in the villa miss some good closets when you stay a bit longer. Wonderfull stay and wish to come again.

Loved the location close to the beach with an amazing sunset, shops and restaurants close by too. Spent a week there and was very comfortable with everything you'd need. Air con and fan in the room. Lovely host gave us great recommendations and gave us a lift to the supermarket. Nearest large supermarket is 10 min drive but smaller ones close by.

Very nice hotel on an island that doesnt have so many 4 or 5 star hotels..great location, clean beautiful rooms..hotel feels like an oasis..very nice staff, good bar..parking a bit small, but there is huge free parking 1 minute walk away..ok breakfast, but expensive with 20 eur per person, but this is normal on Martinique it seems..

The property was perfectly located for discovering Martinique. There was a grocery store nearby, as well as plenty of beaches. It was only an hour from fort-de-france and 1.5 hours from the north of the island. Having a hot tub to come back to was a great way to relax after a day of hiking. Melanie was also great!

The hotel is run by a very nice couple. They do care about guests and do a lot to fulfill not standard wishes. The hotel is positioned very centrally but it is very quite since it is fare enough from all the husle. The breakfest is really very good with a lot of variants. The view from the balcony is gorgeous.
