I love this place! I can't believe the price. The hotel is new. Room is clean and big. Breakfast was excellent. What can you ask for more? And they rent you bicycles for free!

I think this is maybe the only hostel that's still open in Nyang Shwe. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooftop was a nice place to hang out, and the food was pretty good. Overall I enjoyed it and I would stay there again.

My visit was for Taunggyi Balloon Festival for 8 nights, a grand and fantastic event not to be missed. However, be prepared for huge crowd exceeding a few hundred thousand spectators. The mountain town is famous for its cool temperatures and fresh air with lots of other attractions within 30 km radius.

Taunggyi is not breath-taking but the scenery from the top is very nice. This town is well appreciated by Myanmar people as a destination for short trips, enjoying the climate and nice atmosphere of the city. Good base for discovering Pindaya, Hopong, the Ayethayar winery and resort; enjoying some trekking or trips to Inle lake. Some cool coffee bars and a handful of pretty good restaurants (incl 2 italian, thai, burger...). Evening market in the middle of the town offers a range of tea, spices, beans, herbs, and more
