This boutique hotel is an oasis on the outskirts of Madagascar’s capital city. Only 15 mins from the airport, it is an exceptional place to stay, long or short term. We were so glad we had 2 nights here to enjoy the property. The cleanest pool in all Madagascar!
The greatest little gem of a restaurant with delicious meals. The staff, especially Christian and Fortuna went over and above in their desire to welcome us as guests. Extremely comfortable, clean and great value; we felt we could be happy living here!
If you want hotel closed to the airport and a property owner who knows Madagascar well and knows how to communicate in English and where to go, this is the hotel you're looking for. Frank the owner was nice, honest and can arrange you a taxi driver with the right price. Unlike other hotels they will rip you off, dishonest and overpriced you with taxi. This hotel welcomes me and very helpful like going to Lemur park telling you the cost you upfront.
Super convenient to the airport - you could almost walk, but you don't need to as they have a small van to collect you. Nicely done restaurant on main level, that is also sometimes open on rooftop. Food Is good, but not fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful. That and a clean room, comfy bed are the best points..I will stay here again in the future.. excellent no stress transfer hotel for those flights that don't coordinate!
We chose this hotel because it was so close to the airport. We didn't have high expectations, but what a pleasant stay that was!
The rooms are really comfortable. The restaurant offers excellent food. The shuttle to and from the airport is working perfectly. You can check-out till 12 am, which was perfect for our flight. We really have nothing to complain about our stay!
Somptua Garden has lovely views of farmers fields in Ivato. Christian was the waiter/bartender and he was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. All staff was lovely. We had a free airport transfer included in our stay. The coconut curry shrimp is a must try if it’s on the menu. The hotel was also willing to accept Euros for the room, and Ariary for food costs.
Deceptive location. It is not near the airport. Taxi cost is 30,000 ariary to airport. There is not so much as a bottle of water available at the hotel, which is actually a house with four rooms. There is no aircon. There is no heat. The window did not close completely. This place is not what you want as you would only stay here while waiting for flight.
Perfect location if you're staying in Tana for just one night, as it is very close to the airport. They even have an airport shuttle which is super convenient. The room was a bit small, but definitely ok for one night.

Brand new little family owned hotel, not too far from airport (about 30 min by car). Comfortable bed, nice dinner and breakfast. Very caring and friendly. Convenient if you need to take a flight in the morning. Hotel arranged a driver for us and we are thankful for their efficient adjustment to changes, as our flight time changed twice!

Very responsive and close to the airport. They picked us up and took us to the hotel from the airport. We then booked our driver for the next day at a very reasonable rate. Very friendly. It was very clean and very safe. We walked up the street to Au bois vert for dinner without any issues.
Our flight landed late at night, and I didn't want to drive at night for safety reason. The location of the hotel is perfect for late flight. The room was very clean and well designed for the local standards. The service in the restaurant is good. The staff was friendly.
The location of the property in walking distance to/from the airport as well as to a number of local restaurants are the winning criteria. Also, this hotel probably the best hot shower in Madagascar! Both water temperature and pressure are perfect.
