It had everything we needed and more, even toothbrushes and earplugs. A lot of space, balcony, you can rent a bike if you want. No problem with parking. There was even coffee there. I felt like home, it was a pleasant stay. We wished we stayed there longer than 3 nights :)

Ventspils - city by the sea, which has Blue flag beach. It is not very crowded even in hot summer days. It is Baltic sea, it can be cold even in summer, it depends on the weather. But there are very nice sandy beaches. The city Ventspils - cozy city with many flowers, many parks for kids to play or just walk in the nature for anybody. Open air waterpark for kids. There is nice promenade to walk. There are some museums. It can be nice calm stay by the sea.

Ventspils is only accessible by bus from Riga, there is no passenger rail service. The town has a long history as an ice-free Hanseatic port and was a strategic port for Russia during their period of control. Boat tours of the port area are available and there are many fine walking paths along the shore and out to the lighthouse at the entry to the harbor. Many old historic wood buildings remain and there are wonderful parks scattered throughout the city. The beach is quite extensive, but exposed to the onshore winds. The town is quite spread out and renting a bike is a good option if not travelling by car. Saturday morning is the best time to enjoy the local markets, and there are a choice of restaurants to suit every taste.

Since we have been visiting for many years in a row, we have noticed that the city of Ventspils is not improving. Few catering establishments, new activities in the port. In the evening, the city seems dead.

I honestly could say that it's the most tidiest city in Latvia I've ever been to.
The infrastructure is amazing. Everything is right next to everything.
A lot of stuff to do.
It's beautiful (if you're not looking at the docks :D).
The streets are clean and the planning for pedestrians and the overall nature of the city is amazing.
There are parks around every block. You could just walk around for ages.

Peaceful and friendly city with adorable cats everywhere. The beach is very clean and better than in Jūrmala. There is more activities to do on the beach here. Jūrmala beach is more crowded but more long and shallow. Ventsps is safe, not so crowded and nice parks for children to play in. A treasure to explore. Where are everyone?

Very beautiful city with plenty of sculptures and places to visit. It has many parks, museums. Beach is very well structured - different places for swimmers and surfers.
There is an excursion boat, excursion train. It offers 3 prepared routes in the city to see sculptures - 4km, 8km and 16km
Very nice, quiet and cozy small hotel, comfortable room with everything you need to stay. A beautiful green and tidy yard. Good location, located in a quiet street, close to the concert hall, walking distance to the old town and other tourist attractions.
The breakfast was good (omelet, pancakes, vegetables, ham, cheese, coffee from machine, cereal). The pastries could be better.
In general the hotel meets my expectations, but for this facilities a bit expensive.
