The infrastructure is amazing. Everything is right next to everything.

The streets are clean and the planning for pedestrians and the overall nature of the city is amazing.

Peaceful and friendly city with adorable cats everywhere. The beach is very clean and better than in Jūrmala. There is more activities to do on the beach here. Jūrmala beach is more crowded but more long and shallow. Ventsps is safe, not so crowded and nice parks for children to play in. A treasure to explore. Where are everyone?

Very beautiful city with plenty of sculptures and places to visit. It has many parks, museums. Beach is very well structured - different places for swimmers and surfers.
There is an excursion boat, excursion train. It offers 3 prepared routes in the city to see sculptures - 4km, 8km and 16km

Ventspils is great! Good looking, well kept town. Lovely seaside park for walks (my personal favorite), sea to swim, great open-space museum with historical building, castle. Friendly to kids, there are several ships docked in the town and in the open-space museum where you can climb onboard and explore. Calm, feels totally safe. Nice places to eat.

The town is very picturesque easily walkable because of it's size.
Of particular note was every open space was either or both lawned and planted with amazing floral displays, most street corners conical high and wide flowers bursting with vibrant colours. Even the middle of the roads planted with flowers, the surrounds of public housing blocks having planters and even sculptures everywhere.
Early in the morning I could hear the grass mowers, see the workers attending the flower beds and even a woman, pushing a wheelie bin along the pavement and stopping occassionaly to pick up a piece of litter that had been dropped. The whole town so clean and tidy.
I arrived a week after the season had ended, it was rain and sunshine, so few if any tourists. few bars or restuarants appeared to be open.
Of note was the abundance of finger sighnage boards on most junctions written in Latvian and English, impossible to get lost. Directions to WCs in large letters throughout the town. The pavements and roads well cared for, I witnessed no pot-holes, cracked or broken pavements. In summary the cleanest, prettiest most well maintained place in all of Latvia.

Ventspils is the perfect destination for families with children. There are countless activities for children (and parents) and more than enough to explore, especially mentioning the Vizium, the beach, the adventure park, the water parks and the amazing children`s park in the city!
The location was great, in a quiet and clean neighborhood, within a mile of the bus station, a medieval fortnress, and a beautiful beach. The cost was quite low, a great bargain!
The room was well furnished, with a nice refrigerator that had a freezer compartment, a water heater for making tea, and tea provided. The television worked well, and the bathroom had been remodelled. It seemed like the water in the shower did not get very warm, but otherwise everything was fine. There was access to a separate kitchen for cooking.
Great for a family with kids. The restored villa has an amazing garden that is very accommodating for kids (e.g. little bikes, swing, trampoline etc). The big veranda is great for enjoying self-made meal or a glass of wine. The hosts are a friendly couple that think along providing tips on what to visit. Would definitely recommend this to a family and would prefer this over a hotel for sure.

Flat looks even better in real life, one of the best places I have stayed in Ventspils! ( and I have stayed in quite a few:)) the big sofa bed is super comfy. Flat is on the 2nd floor, perfect if you have small kids. Is nice and quiet, can’t hear anyone next door. Biggest supermarket in Ventspils just across the road. Very easygoing host, super fast communication via what’s app. Highly recommended!
Nice little clean hotel, near city center and public beach. The host is very friendly and ready to help. I had a ferry from Ventspils early in the morning. Only when I was on the ferry i've realized that i forgot my rain poncho in the hotel. I phoned the hotel and the owner brought it to the port for me. Thanks a lot for that!
Very cozy and clean rooms. Great tasty breakfast with freshly prepared omelettes, pancakes, etc., and good coffee. By the way, juice and jam from their own garden. Great location, everything is nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. If we are ever in Ventspils again, we will stay only here.
Beautifull house with everything you need inside. Owners very kind and friendly, when we asked recommendations what to see in Ventspils they gave us a lot of places to see and to eat. Teritory guards big and friendly dog. There was allways free space in parking lot.
Everything was as expected. Hotel has good location, friendly staff, good breakfast in the time you ask. You can arrive, go to city and reception will kindly wait. There is only small remark - the corridor needed a little refreshment.
Enjoyable property close to all Ventspils attractions. Plenty of space, common area, entertainment. Beds were comfortable and rooms were at great rate. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly made, including items that are great for kids.
Excellent place to stay. The sea in nearby with a beach and beautiful sand cliffs. And the hosts are very nice and friendly. Had a pleasure to be one of the first guests in this cabin, so the fresh pine smell was very delightful!
Old Soviet apartment; good for a small family like ours. Close to the center of town, nice playground nearby, the largest playground in Latvia down the road. Host came with keys 2 minutes after we arrived.
