The location was good. Not too crowded but with a very good beach and travelling distance to galle and Marissa. The rooms were good and spacious with a ocean view balcony. The breakfast was good with choices. Specially the egg appam.

This place is all about the location. The view from the Cabana is unrivaled & you literally step out of your room onto the beach. The sea was super rough at the time of travel but there's also a pool for swimming + spa facilities (didn't have time to use). Good Wifi in room only.

I made the booking yesterday. The phone number given does not work. Even after going to the location, the gate is closed and tied with wire. You have to leave the booking and get lost. Ruined my whole tour.

The lunch and dinner were of good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be improved as Europeans are not use to curry first thing in the morning. There were other choices but they could be better
The resort has a great location. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast is yummy. We were greeted by Sajeeth, the hotel manager; he was very supportive during our stay. The resort is by the lake and the beach is across the road- literally five mins. You can also see the fishermen on stilts on this beach. Ahangama is only three kms. You can explore this town as you enjoy your stay at this hotel. You can do a boat safari in the lake or swim in the beautiful pools. So many options.

Rooms are huge, we upgraded to sea view which was stunning- over looked the gardens and palm trees directly to sea. , facilities- pool is great, Sun loungers very comfortable and pool staff super lovely.

We came back to end our vacation in this hotel since it’s the BEST place in Sri Lanka. The staff was Amazing!!! Our flight cancelled and they immediately were there to help us handle the situation. The breakfast was delicious and diverse. The pool and the ocean view is priceless. We will definitely come back with all of my family🩷

Everything was amazing! This hotel is so beautiful with specious and beautifully designed rooms. Everyone is very nice and helpful and welcomes you with a big smile. The massage was great with a wide choice of treatments. The food and breakfast was delicious. I wish I had stayed there longer!
Villa Koggala is probably better suited to younger travellers on a budget. The bed was clean and comfortable, the air con was good and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the outside areas were a bit run down and not comfortable for sitting in. It was ok for the money paid
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location right on the lake. The scenery and rooms were unreal and we loved waking up to a view of the lake every morning. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Great wifi and beautiful pool area overlooking the lake. Good facilities.
Warm welcoming, staff service is excellent. The view from the pool is unique. Prices are fair, really good value for money. The room was just perfect ! We felt that our comfort was a priority for the hotel.

Great views including Koggala lake and beautiful pool area. Complimentary wine glasses were an extra touch and the candle light dinner was amazing.
There was a proper blanket to sleep under, which is a rate thing in SL. The wifi worked well and the room was very cozy. The hotel is located on the main road, which is super convenient and the breakfast was very good as well.
We had another fantastic stay at the Fortress. The Hotel location is perfect, and staff were tremendous, attentive and friendly. This is one of our favourite hotels on the south coast. we will be back for sure.
