I went there with family and found out i forgot my airpods in Vv, then i checked on Findmine and it shouwed the hotel location. I then immediately contacted the staff to help me find it not longer than 5 hours (they were very busy) but managed to found the airpods and told me to ask someone picked my airpods. The landscape and settings are great. You can get there with the new fast train. The Chinese built the train stations and they all are far away from town, not sure why. Vang Vieng is very popular with fun sports very young people including lots of Brits and Aussies. Not the best food I had, try out GOAT for Vietnamese.

It has a good night street food central to many hostels. Nature, including the river and mountains, they are great. Moreover the tours you must be careful about which ones you pick the prices are generally similar but many of them are different they use different areas for particular activities like zip lining or the blue pool they are actually like five Blue pools don't go to number one because it's very small and it has a ton of people that is quote the cheapest pool to go to. So ask to see pictures of their different things because as you can see there are different company names like wonderful or Jackie or seven or whatever there are tons of them and they have their own teams and they run their own thing some are better than others and I went to one from seven and it was okay well isn't the greatest experience but it was okay.

Vang Vieng is very beautil und it takes a while to discover the different beautiful places here. Best option is to rent a motorcycle. And for some view points you have to be an well physical condition to reach them.
In Vang Vieng we tried a lot of restaurants and different food and just one restaurant was very disappointing for my Lao wife and me...
We liked the Namphet Restaurant.. its a bit hidden behin a bridge.. but you will have a beautival view to the river and very good food..
what we didnt like was the behaviour of this crowds of chinese tourists.. they behave like laos is disneyworld

General a nice town with lots of restaurants, bars and a really nice nature around. BUT: totally overrun by tourists, especially Chinese. Cycling to the hills outside town will result in lots of traffic due to hundreds of stinky, rectles buggys and vans shutteling tourists from lagoon to lagoon. The lagoons are overfilled with people, the river with kayaks.
Once you arrived a Hill to climb or a cave to explore, it gets much quieter.
All in all: Beautiful nature around town once you reach it, but be ready to deal with mass tourism.
Premier Vang Vieng is a superb choice to stay in Vang Vieng. It is on the main road, but on the quieter end of town. There are dozens of restaurants to choose from nearby and a 10 min walk to the night market. The swimming pool is lovely and the breakfast was great. The rooms were large and comfortable and had a kettle, which is much appreciated. However, the best thing about the hotel is the staff. They were incredibly helpful in organising a tour for us, as well as train tickets to Luang Prabang. Thank you so much!
The staff were excellent welcoming us with a welcome cup of drink and telling us about the town as well as some tips for visiting Vang vieng. we booked train and hot air balloon tickets at a better price than booking online. Our room on the top floor was spacious enough. Standing on the balcony you can see the mountains and the sunset in the afternoon and the hot air balloons flying in the sky. The hotel is clean and the location is right in the center of Vang Vieng, very convenient
I had such a good time in this newly reopened hostel, the place is definitely the best value for money you can get in Vang Vieng. Basic facilities but all you need with a very cheap price: good location, good AC, good shower, good bed, lockers, and most importantly, great atmosphere. The guys running the place are so much fun, I spent most of my time such chillin at the bar. The view from the bar area is unbelievable. If you don’t go to stay, at least go to have a beer at sunset!
Central place and helpful staff who reserved hot air balloon 120 USD as the online booking and other tours with a very good quality. We were provided free information for our next destination and it save our time.
Our room was rather clean and so tidy with some necessary amenities to stay, we were pleased to pay that cheap room. It was a quiet hotel in the City of Vang Vieng, we got a really good sleep there

The bed was the most comfortable I found in Laos. The receptionist was very helpful. It’s easy to get impatient in Laos, and we rely on hotel reception on so much from finding drinking water to booking tours, trains, buses. The receptionist answered all my questions, booked my kayak tour and arranged my ride to the train station. The included breakfast is also very nice and comes out quickly. Great service all around.
We stayed in Vang Vieng for a week in serveral hotels and Camellia was the best with great services. Hotel itself located in the center of town. Reserved some tours with hotel, all were good.
Quick laundry and very clean. Staff took care of us and helped us to store some bags when we went to LBP by train. Breakfast was optional to order, not much but enough for us, tasty fresh fruits.

Location was perfect for seeing the night market and wandering around the Vang Vieng . We booked all the tour ,transportation through hostel for best quality and best value . Recommend to our friend.

Hotel was in an ideal location in vang Vieng parallel to the street with the most nightlife (3 minutes around the corner) but was still quiet so you couldn’t hear the music, room was clean also. Anna was the best host you could ask for super friendly, gave you ideas on what to do and where to go everyday and could sort tours/bikes/anything you wanted.

Best hostel in Vang Vieng, beds are big, curtains all the way round, good air con. The pool area is super social with a big volley ball net and the food is really good for a hostel. They organise everything for you so couldn’t recommend them enough. You have to play Papa at pool, he is the best one handed player in the world
