Nana Bungalows is excellent. The rooms are clean, new and with a nice view of the garden. It's a really good place to stay. Nana is a really good owner, she always gives you the best advice on what to do in the area and the things you need, such as bus tickets, renting a motorcycle, what to do on the Thakek Loop, or information about going to Vietnam. We really recommend this place.

I stayed at Song Lao for a month. The guesthouse is hosted by an amazing family - Mai and Daniel speak good English and are extremely accommodating and flexible with whatever you need. There is a restaurant at the compound serving expresso coffee. The compound itself has a great community feel and there is a great common tea/ coffee area with filtered water. It's easy to meet other travelers there. Rooms, balconies, and bathrooms are extremely spacious. Perfect for people who like to stretch or do yoga in a private space. Showers are hot and have great water pressure. Area is very safe and away from city noise but still a short walk to the city center. High-speed Wifi is available throughout the compound and in all the rooms. Overall, amazing value for money and a wonderful place to spend a night or a few weeks.
