I appreciated the staff offering me help. They kept my luggage before and after my time, so I could explore the town well. I arrived by bus + foot, and they gave me a ride to the bus station on my return. They dressed me in Yukata(summer kimono) and were ready to chauffeur me to an outdoor evening show, but I declined and enjoyed my bath in my backyard. Whereas usual Ryokan serves food in your room, this place has two food serving areas, and they walked me to different rooms for dinner and breakfast. I liked the nice garden views from two different locations.

The stargazing tour and dinner was spectacular. The stargazing brought us to the attic using a telescope to see the actual stars, followed by the planetarium projecting the stars we saw, and an outdoor camping style, coupled with camp fire to explain the stars location in the sky. Our host is incredibly kind and sweet. He took us for stargazing on Aso mountains on arrival night, then offered to drive us to the shrine and on the last day drove all the way to Aso city area to drop us off at the next hotel. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!
