The house owner was ready and communicative to where we should meet. Very friendly AND gave some freebies lol. Gave very clear instruction about the what-nots and was prompt during meetup. The location is probably the best thing about it. Its so near the famed Asahi-Dake(sp?) mountains, that a morning walk is such a fun thing to do . ALSO, ITS VERY CLOSE TO THE FAMOUS BLUE POND. So that was a huge freebie in terms of trip planning.
I would say for other renters, the area is a bit residential AND I think any person who'd like to rent this should have a car ready for ease. Its somewhat close to the trains BUT A Car can definitely help navigating this area. A lot of it, is not readily available via Bus or likes.

Stay in Kami-furano for fast access to the Tokachi Mountain Range in Daisetsuzan National Park, whether for hiking or for backcountry skiing or snowboarding. The town also has a good selection of restaurants; we only tried one during our stay, but it was excellent and reasonably priced.

It is a wonderful area if you want to go into the mountains. It has open air onsen, hotel onsen and plenty of restaurants and coffee bars. Two we want mention, as they were exceding expectations. Kaneko coffebeans and Furano Cafe. Worth a visit!!

Very nice and lovely place to stay near Furano. I am happy that I chose this house after reading all the reviews and we are not disappointed. Our room and all facilities are very clean and the house has everything we need. There were 5 rooms during our stay and we had no issue with the shared bathroom at all. The scenery around the house is also nice.
