It's like any other APA - you know what to expect and it's fine overall. Free onsen was a nice bonus - it's very simple, but functional.
Other people mention noise from the trains but honestly, I haven't heard anything, it was very quiet. Maybe it was due to the location of my room - hard to tell.
Set in Sendai, 500 metres from Sendai City Community Support Center, Hotel Keihan Sendai offers air-conditioned accommodation and a restaurant.

The room I stayed in was extremely spacious, which isn't common with my experiences of hotels in Japan. The hotel was clean and seemed to have quite modern technology with a touchscreen electronic device controlling the cooling settings etc. In the lobby, the amenities bar provided various items including toothbrushes, moisturising cream, cotton swabs and bottles of water could be collected from the reception. I had an extremely pleasant experience with the staff. I needed to make a phone call to the next hotel I was staying at to alter my booking and one of the staff members happily called for me and assisted, even with the language barrier. A very inviting and comfortable hotel to stay at!
