Room's bathtub fills quickly and is comfortable to soak in.
There is also a public bath.
Has a coin laundry, this was convenient. Budget 700-800yen each round as washing costs 500yen and drying is 100yen for 30min, but my clothes weren't fully dry at 1 hour, even though the dryer was under filled.
Coin laundry has a wait in the late evening to night time. It seems better to do it when everyone else is busy touring in the day time.
Room sound insulation seemed good. We didn't hear other guests.
The bed has a space beneath to store the luggage, which helped decrease congestion in the room.

I loved the dinosaur receptionists, they wore halloween costumes on the second day and the check-in process was really easy. Very convenient for Kyoto main station.

Gionmachi is a wonderful section of Kyoto and offers much to see and experience. It is easy, maybe 15 to 20 minutes taxi to other areas of Kyoto that are also beautiful, historical and traditional. Overall, this is a place I would come back to because I have much more to see.

I loved this hotel!!! The service was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The location was perfect - close to town but not in town. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. Close to the train station as well. I will certainly stay here on my next trip to Kyoto.
