As other people have stated, and I agree, the Breakfast had a good selection of both Japanese and Western foods.
Great that there was a 7/11 convenience open 24/7 on the ground floor, as well as a Family restaurant on the 2nd floor that proofed to be beneficial for the evenings/lunch time that we were too tired to go far to find food. The EnoDen (Enoshima Electric Train) station was so close and fun to ride to Enoshima or Kamakura and everything else between. A great place to stay considering the price and location.
A 10-minute train from Enoshima Island, 8 Hotel湘南藤沢 features art, fashion, music and food reflecting the atmosphere that the Shonan region is famous for.

I have been stayed few same hotel in the different locals. The room always clean and space is ok. If you are travelling by couple please make sure you are booking the twin bed room which can have bigger bed size. Their bed is comforable and under bed can storage the luggage so whole room not look small and still have space to go. Good thing is they provide the breakfast, not much items but enough. This hotel breakfast room is pretty small so if you like to eat the breakfast must make sure you find the spot to sit before you take the food. selfserve laundry service and printing give traveller very convenience.
I accidently left my computer in the hotel and their stuff is friendly to send the courier to another Toyoko-inn hotel which I will stay another dayfor me even use the poor english to communicate but big help. Strong recommend this hotel.

From Tokyo, take the JR Tokaido Line to Fujisawa (50km, 1 hour). International travellers can fly into Tokyo's Narita or Haneda airports, then take a train. No direct water transport available. Transfers may be required.
The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Tokyo's Haneda Airport. It's approximately 60km from Fujisawa, offering a range of transport options and frequent flights globally.
Fujisawa, Japan, boasts a robust public transport system. The Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden) is a popular choice, connecting major areas. Buses also operate extensively. For shorter distances, cycling is common, with rental services available. Taxis are an alternative, albeit more expensive. Always remember to check the latest schedules and routes.
Enoshima and Shonandai are popular areas in Fujisawa, Japan. Enoshima offers beautiful beaches and historic shrines, while Shonandai boasts convenient transport links and a vibrant nightlife. Both areas provide a range of accommodation options, making them ideal for visitors.

It might not be for everyone, have to take one stop to Ofuna to transfer to other JR lines but very convenient visiting Kamakura and Enoshima. Plenty of stores around Fujusawa station for shopping. Airport bus to Narita and Haneda airports, although schedules not as frequent as pre-COVID check in advance.

Fujisawa is wonderful and relaxed, and we come here at least 3 times per year to get away from the city. It's so nice to be able to come and NOT rush, which is why we now always stay overnight. Otherwise it's too stressful to do and see things and then get back on a train to go home on the same day.
There ARE vegetarian and vegan-friendly places, but you have to find them. Use Happy Cow or another search engine to research before you come. Otherwise you'll be eating dinner at a convenience store (which isn't awful). Also, there aren't many places to eat breakfast unless you're ok with just a bakery.

Fujisawa is a beautiful city.
Fujisawa is a beautiful city. There’s something for everyone to enjoy whether you’re a city lover or a nature lover, you’ll find something fun and interesting to do. It’s not too far from Enoshima which is a great thing, it means you can access the beach by train in 10 minutes

We stayed in Enoshima, mainly to see the sights on the island. We didn't plan to spend much time on the beach - the facilities are basic and the sand and sea not too clean, but you could safely paddle and swim if you wanted to. Enoshima Island was interesting, the views from the tower and the rocks and caves were good. There were good views of Mount Fuji. There's not much else to see in Enoshima but Kamakura is close by train and definitely worth s day or two.

It's very smart to find a hotel in Fujisawa for the stay, if you may like to visit Kamakura area extensively for more days. I didn't plan any trip to visit and walk around in Fujisawa city, since Kamakura gathers so many interesting sightseeing venues there. In my views, Enoshima is just normal, so it is not necessary to list it into the must-be visiting, neither to buy the certain Pass the tourism office is promoting. If you may have spare time, just walk to visit it and climb up the not-so-high hill.
Enoca is one of the few hotels where I saw the interest in the comfort of the client: renovated, clean, equipped with a microwave in the room, kettle, fridge, comfortable beds, enormous Tv, delicious breakfast, free drinks in the mornings, free parking..
Very friendly and helpful staff.
The children liked it so much that they wanted us to come back. Usually, we don’t use to stay twice in the same hotel.
We highly recommend Enoca hotel!❤️
This hotel was close to JR Fujisawa Station, so it was a very convenient place for an overnight stay. Staff were professional and made checking in swift, they would probably be very helpful to foreigners checking in. But, I spoke in Japanese the whole trip, so I could only speculate. Thanks to its convenient location, I was able to stage an early morning Enoshima visit because the transit access was just across the street.
This place was really an exceptional experience. The Japanese style room is really spacious and clean, the futon bed is made for you every day and it had a great view of Mount Fuji. Staff is extremely helpful and the breakfast is a real positive experience. The two onsen are beautifully decorated. The staff was happy to read my allergy card and adapt the breakfast menu to gluten free.
The property is an excellent location for Enoshima and Kamakura, but away from the tourist hubbub in a quiet neighborhood. The yakitori restaurant next door and the wine bar in the facility both serve delicious food. There's a wonderful coffee shop minutes away. The studio was comfortable, elegantly furnished and decorated. The staff was excellent and helpful.
breakfast was good, except the reservation for the timing of breakfast in Japanese and in English were both confusing to me at check in. Thankfully another staff member explained it simply in Japanese to me that due to the busyness of the hotel they just needed to reserve a time. I loved the Tuk-Tuk ride, it made it a memorable stay.
All good for the price! Surprisingly there was a free breakfast included. Only problem is that the breakfast consists only of individually packed small pastries. Not exactly what I would expect from a breakfast in a hotel but it was for free so no complaints.
Our room over looked the beach in Japanese room. Room had beds on the ground on proper mattress and was comfortable. Two chairs and table near the window overlooking the beach. Small onsen was also in the hotel, yakatas and slippers provided for use.
Very convenient business hotel near the station. The breakfast was sparse but a welcome surprise as I thought there wasn't one. I was pleased that they are very eco-friendly and don't waste towels or linens. Nice job!
The hotel is in a very convenient location, right on the main almost pedestrian road that leads to the island. Many amenities are nearby, from restaurants to supermarkets. The room is spacious and clean.
The location was excellent. It was just 5 mins away from Fujisawa station. Everything was clean and tidy, except the space of the room was a bit small but more than acceptable. Good breakfast choice.
The staff is very friendly and breakfast was delicious. The ryokan is traditional style so you can enjoy the traditional Japanese atmosphere.
Location is great. You can walk to Enoshima.
Good hotel within a reasonable walking distance from the station. Close by are a lot of small Restaurants with a good offer making it a good place to stay also for very short stays.
The location is good - close to Fujisawa station, shopping and restaurants. very compact room, but spotless and with everything you need. The hotel also has a nice public bath.
close to subway station only few minutes walking .
the Japanese style breakfast is very good . even is not in Buffet style . but you can refill rice and soup .
