Meals were great experience. Excellent choices for both breakfast and dinner. Host made sure personal attention given to our requests. In the direct environment of the ryokan were a few nice temples and pagoda.

Absolutely my standout stay in Japan, a place I have both lived and travelled to more than a dozen times. Besho Onsen Midoriya is a beautiful modern Ryokan with private hot spring baths set in the most tranquil of settings. I particularly loved the Kaiseki set course dinner and of course the provided breakfasts. I will be back!

Really great place to stay . I have tattoos which meant I could not use the spa . But I except that. Although my tattoos are great 👍. Really nice place.

Had a wonderful view of the castle from the hotel window. Room was super comfy. Staff was very nice and helped us track down some places to go. Location is about a 5 minute walk from a busy downtown area with plenty of food and drinks.
