Very quiet and spacious, clean and modern room. (Not sure why some reviews said it was noisy. It was as quiet as a monk's retreat!) We didn't have a car but the hotel picked and dropped us off at the airport. We rented bikes from the hotel and cycled to some amazing beaches. Restaurants within walking distance and bus stop right there. Enjoyed shopping at the gift shop. I was sad to leave. Limited English but they tried hard to communicate and with their English skills and Google translate, it wasn't a problem. Highly recommend this place.

I love staying here. It was my second time. It's the perfect place for a solo traveller. The location is very convenient. The beds are comfy, and it's very quiet at night, except for the calming nature sounds that sing you to sleep. I hope I can stay here again someday!

Nobuko is a wonderful host who helped us with everything we could possibly want or need. The little house is spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped. The only thing that we missed a bit was more comfy space to lounge around since we were 4 people (eg a couch or more armchairs). We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. The hospitality of the couple running this guesthouse is beyond imagination. They are kind and available to help. Every area of the guesthouse is clean, well furnished and has a nice smell. All the services are on point. There are big showers, the laundry area with also the dryer, the kitchen and the kids area (which is HUGE) and has plenty of games and book for kids. If I have to go back to Amami I will definitely stay here again.

This was the best hostel stay I ever had on my travels. The hostel is extremely clean, offers all the amenities you need and is beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail and design. The beds are spacious, very comfortable and offer much privacy. I also really liked the communal area, which is bright and very inviting to relax and enjoy your stay. It is centrally located right next to a lovely shopping street with cafes and restaurants. But the most amazing aspect was the owner, Misako-san, who made my stay in Amami unforgettable. She took a lot of time to show me around this beautiful island that is her home, showing me her favorite places and shared a lot of insights and recommendations. Misako-san really embodies the hospitality and kindness of Amami, she was an amazing host always there to help and make your time in Amami the best experience. I can only recommend that you visit and stay here!

It's a totally stunning island.
It's a totally stunning island. I've travelled quite a lot in Japan and south-east Asia but have never experienced such stunningly clear water. Most of the beaches are to the north. I was there in August and the weather was fine everyday. I can't wait to return!!
