A very clean and pleasant hotel located very close to the train station which made for a great base to visit the many delights of the Italian Riviera. Our stay at the Coccodrillo was made fabulous by the very attentive reception team, who were friendly and could not do enough for us. Thank you to Sylvia and Giulio for checking us in early and out late and helping with speaking Italian and making nice cappuccinos :-)

The hotel exceeded all expectations! The location is super: second line, quiet, overlooking the sea, noise of waves at night, palm trees and delicious restaurants nearby, quiet centre, balcony overlooking the sea, not the most touristy place. The hotel owners and staff had a special place in our holiday, these people made our holiday relaxing and enjoyable and our breakfasts and morning coffee as delicious as possible. The hotel is not new, but for me this was more a plus than a minus, I love the spirit of antiquity and history, the main thing was that it was clean and in good condition! With love in our hearts we left and will return again!

We had a super stay in Varazze known the town for 40 years , the stay at hotel Elena was our first but was lovely. Superb food and great service and a nice clean and spacious room with good facilities. Great place to choose, K2 best Gelateria in Italy!?
Beautiful historic seaside town. Impressive yacht marina. Good restaurants. Beautiful warm sea. Easy access by train. Close to inland nature. Lovely place to take in the Italian riviera for a few days.

The people, in general, were extremely helpful and accommodating.
The beaches are with pebbles but very clean, well organized and price-accessible.
The food all over Varazze is amazing, from seafood to pizza and ice cream. The prices are "normal" touristic prices (e.g. from a 8-10 euros for a pizza to a 16-18-20 for a seafood dish).
We will definitely come back.

Varraze is a nice little town with all amenities you could wish for and the air of a sweet Italian beach town. It is thankfully not as overrun like other beach towns in the “flower riviera” which for me made it super enjoyable. The beach is long, clean, well-kept and gorgeous. The people are super nice. You can get pretty much anything and if you booked a place with no board, breakfast or half-board can easily find great food for any meal. I was amazed how well the town kept their own spirit and feel even though it is a tourist destination. I can highly recommend visiting here!

Crowded and chaotic.
Crowded and chaotic. Beach with a lot of umbrellas without any free place. It is deffinitelly not the most beatifull place on ligurian coast. But the path along the sea to the east is very charming, with rocks to bathe along.

The whole Liguria region is unique, fascinating to visit and drive around, if you're game. Plenty of narrow streets and little shops all done stylishly by the locals who are friendly. It's built all over mountains and valleys and the roads are either spectacular bridges or long tunnels. Closer to the coastline they are windy steep little roads. In town they are narrow alleyways lined with shops.
The room was very clean, the size enough for 2 people to stay comfortable and the bed was very good fro an excellent sleep.
The breakfast exceeded my expectations, usually for a 3* hotel in Italy the buffet is poor and not many choices offered, but at Zurigo hotel the breakfast was absolutely a hit value for money, they offered omelette, ham/salame, boiled eggs, a variety of cheese, a variety of cakes, croissants, fruits, in a nutshell it was rich.
Excellent location in the very center of Varazze close to main points of interest (beach, restaurants, shops, etc.), availability of parking, beautiful ambiance of both the property and its immediate surroundings (e.g. hotel park), very friendly and highly attentive employees who make you feel as if you were at home and respond to every request, very good breakfast, amazing value for money, definitely recommended to all!
Big room with a nice bathroom. Everything was very clean. Good internet access. The hotel is located walking distance (5-10 mins) from the train station - very easy to find. Same time - 5-10 mins from the beach. The hotel staff are all very friendly. Simple, but very good breakfast. In general pleasant stay. This hotel is simple, but has everything you need for a great seaside vacation.
I spent perfect holidays in hotel Azzurro. Close to center city Varazze, train station, Lungmare Europe, beach, supermarket, and restaurants.
The room is quiet, warm, light, has a balcony with see view. In room was everything, what I needed. Cleaning is every day. Delicious breakfast with fruits and different sort of cakes. Thank you and highly recommended!
Really exceptional stay with nice view, comfortable stay and relaxation in garden. Beach with sand is relatively close to appartment but you have to go up/down using stairs or go by car to parking place. We realized it is really the best place along the whole range of Ligurian Riviera.
Guys on reception were amazingly friendly and cool, i really appreciated it. The hotel rooms and the view were just okay, exactly as expected. I also liked the possibility to book a parking spot directly at the hotel, which was the most important feature for me
Hotel was very good and beautiful, clean, air conditioned. The staff (owner family) was so nice and helping. Breakfast was good with fresh products and many sweet cakes. We hope we will have a change to visit this hotel also in the future.

Nice hotel in Varazze. Simple but nice breakfast that you can enjoy in their front courtyard. Very close to the beach, and also the entrance of the Lungomare Europa Bike Path. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
