The rooms are quite small ( but that's Europe), they are very clean and the beds are comfortable. It has the best view in Siena and alfresco dining or drinks is a must. The location is a short walk to the city and provides a relaxing haven. It's the best to go luggage to and from as there are no cobblestones.
Hotel Executive, now under new management, is set in the Scacciapensieri residential district of Siena, 10 minutes' walk from the train station.

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Siena, with lovely rooms and a stylish setting. The hotel made every attempt to communcate with me ahead of arrival to warn about the car pass restrictions in the city, which I overlooked, making the error of driving in without using the system to get parked first. Me, having made this mistake they then went out of their way to rectify it, and managed to get me registered quickly so that I escaped a fine. After that, our late arrival meant dining was closed for the night, but they still found us some lovely food and drink from things they could muster up. We were only staying one night and made to feel like the most importnat guests.
The next day we were allowed to stay parked whilst we explored the city on foot, another kindness.

The villa was lovely, set in beautiful manicured gardens. The distance from the main centre of Sienna was a bonus, as the location was tranquil. Catching a bus into the centre was a breeze with the bus stop just outside the gates. The staff were amazing. Always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with coffees and scrambled eggs made to order. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb.

Romantic Renaissance
Located among undulating meadows and Chianti vineyards, Siena shines as a jewel of the Tuscan Renaissance, and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience the famous Palio di Siena horse race, catch the pulse of the city at Piazza del Campo, visit the beautiful Duomo cathedral…and fall in love with this charming city!
Founded by Etruscans around 900 BC, the city was first conquered by Romans and later by Lombards. The Middle Ages saw it becoming the independent and flourishing Republic of Siena, until its annexation to the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
The economic difficulties that followed turned out to be a blessing for the preservation of its historic centre. Adorned with frescoes by Ghirlandaio and bass-reliefs by Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti, and Jacopo della Quercia, the Duomo represents the highest expression of this well-kept legacy. The shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, with the Palazzo Pubblico and the Gaia Fountain, is still the heart and soul of the city. Follow the labyrinth of narrow streets and passages that irradiate from there and you will be enchanted by its romantic atmosphere from ancient times.
The closest airports are Peretola Airport in Florence and Galileo Galilei International Airport in Pisa, though Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna is also well connected. While planning your trip, don’t forget to check out the Siena accommodation deals on Booking.com!
Magnificent Siena.
A true UNESCO site with plenty of beauty everywhere.
Excellent restaurants, pretty small shops, beautiful views, easy to get around.
People are very warm and welcoming, which is not so usual nowadays.
I did appreciate it.

This was a great location for visiting Siena and the local region. Although on a bus route the buses aren’t very frequent so it is certainly easier with a car. Parking available at the property. Good restaurant next door - but sadly not at all good for vegetarians!
The monastery on top of the hill is a must - we had a drink up there in the bar - but the food in the restaurant looked great too and was reasonably priced.
A great base for visiting Tuscany.

Beautiful city with interesting sights, but they have to do a lot more if they want to accommodate this number of tourists (especially to create or control the taxi service which is absolutely unprofessional and unreliable).

This was our most liked stop in our almost three week trip to Italy. The property and staff was amazing and they were able to recommend restaurants, arrange taxi service and especially the wine tour to the Mazzie Winery in Fonterutoli. The property was top notch, clean, quiet and would highly recommend if you are staying in Siena.

Everything! What a place.
Everything! What a place. Our favourite experience was the guided walk through the Tuscan countryside! Keko our guide was fantastic combing historic elements to modern day life with a bit of nature and wildlife thrown in. Visiting Siena was a an experience we will never forget and we hope to return someday.
Everything was perfect! the room is new and refurbished, the bed is comfortable and everything is very clean. Then the view…amazing…on Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy! This is a top location if you want to spend time in Siena downtown and leave the car outside. there are plenty of parking lots pretty cheap outside the historical city center, you can grab a taxi and be at the hotel in 15 minutes from everywhere! Then the staff was incredibly available and helpful, they will ease your stay! Top!
I loved my stay at hotel Santa Caterina.
The hotel itself is just lovely with a beautiful garden with an amazing view of Siena. The staff was exceptional and would go out of their way to make.your request happen.
It's a little further out of the centre of town which I prefered because it was quiet, and it waa 15 to 20-minute walk into town.
It also included an excellent breakfast with your stay. It was a very relaxing stay.
I will definitely stay at Santa Catarina again.
This was a larger room than expected, very clean. Filtered cold water available. Perfect location- away from revelry but less than 5 minutes to the middle of everything.
Breakfast was simple but made fresh and delicious. After 4 weeks of Cappuccinos everywhere across Italy, the Cappuccino from this breakfast was the best. Can’t even explain why - it was that kind of an experience.
We had a car and we were able to get a spot on hotel property.
You could not pick a better location to stay in Siena. Within an easy walk (relatively flat) to the major attractions plus handy to the bus station and supermarket. Spacious and well appointed apartment and staying for a week the washing and cooking facilities were a real bonus. Nicolo gave us some great restaurant recommendations, make sure you try out Taverna De Cecco so far the best we have experienced in Italy (make sure you book).
terrific location, beautiful building in the heart of Siena with excellent customer relations. The breakfast was delicious with everything you could want and variety each day. the staff speaks English, French, and Italian of course so easy communication. they were able to arrange transfers, a private wine tour and ride to the coast for us. I can’t say enough nice things about this top notch boutique hotel.
Outstanding staff, Lorenzo and Giacomo were extremely helpful during our stay. Lorenzo gave us an intro on the things to see, recommendations on food and also tips on how to move between the hotel and the center of Sienna.
The location is great, the views are breathtaking and the hotel itself is an old house that was built by the Piccolomi family, a noble family from Italy that actually had 2 popes.
Almost everything was great except for parking policy. The service at the front desk did everything they could to solve any inconvenience. Breakfast (choice and quality) was better in comparison with other hotels we stayed in in this part of Italy. It is probably in the best location in the city (close to the center and great as starting point for the daytrips).
I would come definitely again.
Probably one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in Italy. Situated just outside the centre of Siena, a 30 minute walk will get you there by partly taken the escalators. The Borgo is well-maintained, lovely furnished and has a beautiful large pool with amazing view. Staff is really helpful and friendly! Breakfast served will boost your energy for long after lunch ;)
Hotel was unique - built in an old palace, room design & amenities were modern comfortable & clean, although a bit narrow.
Location was a bit away from the noisier part of the Siena town centre, and not too far from the parking - although it can be a bit tiring if carrying heavy luggage. But otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.
We had such an enjoyable experience at Hotel Certosa Di Maggiano. The staff was lovely, and treated us as if we were entering their home. The breakfast was easily the best we had during our 5 different stays in Italy. Thank you for the use of the tennis rackets, the pool, and the amazing restaurant.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, clean and new. The staff is very nice and willing to help. Good gym that’s open most of the day, which is great with all the carbs in Italy 😄 We had a very good time.
also the location was great for us because it has easy access to the rural area.
Everything was perfect. We had a lot of space in our apartment. There were all necessary things in the kitchen. Air condition worked well. We arrived by car and didn’t have problems with parking. Next to the hotel locate the bus stop and you can easy to get to the center of Siena.
The hotel was very quiet. The room has shutters and is very clean. The room was made up perfectly every day. There is a good range of offering for breakfast. The buses into historic Siena run from just outside the hotel every 10 minutes.
Hotel Alma Domus is a little gem. While not plush, it is clean, the staff is wonderful and the location is situated close to the bus station. And the breakfast is delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Siena.
This was possibly the most comfortable bed in our three weeks so far in Italy and France. The room is very large and clean. The location is very convenient to the sites in Siena.
