Renato our host was super friendly and helpful. His local experience and knowledge were exceptional. Whenever we had questions he was there to support. We even changed all our plans according to his advice and suggestions. Our experience in Tuscany was much better because of the itinerary he created for us! Besides that the view of the place is phenomenal and we enjoyed our stay in La Torre Ai Mari!

Borgo del Grillo is meticulously renovated. The ground are very well maintained and green (even in mid summer). The pool is big (but not very warm- be aware that you're around 600m above sea level. The upside is that even in mid summer the place was rather cool (very thick walls etc). The place does not have aircon but we did not need it.
Maurizio the host put quite some effort in the apartment to modernize it. The place was rather big and the beds comfy (especially in the master bedroom). The unit had 2 baths which was convenient with 2 kids. The borgo consists of around 10-15 units that are all privately owned and some of them are rented out. Maurizo owns a couple of them. When we stayed many of the owners where there (including Maurizio). That gave a vey good vibe (very inclusive and willing to help you out with tips etc). The location is a bit off the beaten track. But if you want to visit the Val d'Orcia (and you should since it is really beautiful) I would def recommend Borgo del Grillo. Do not go there if you expect nigh life etc. Montepulciano and Montalcino are within easy reach. We also went to Orvieto, highly recommended!!
Featuring a pool and hot tub overlooking the Tuscan hills, La Sovana is a farm stay with its own winery and a traditional restaurant. It offers personal service and country-style accommodation.

This villa is so beautiful and its location is just outstanding. It sits on a hill slope and commands an amazing view for many miles in every direction. The private pool is wonderful and also located in front of the great view. Could not imagine a better place to stay in beautiful Toscana. Val d'Orcia and beautiful towns like Pienza, Montepuliciano and Cortona are within 30min to 45min drive.
Highly recommended!
This is a beautiful small town. Favorite restaurant is Chiostro Cennini. All restaurants, bars, gelato store, supermarket, small grocery, pharmacy within easy walking distance of this apartment. The old town charm is everywhere and this city seems to be well loved and maintained.

Sarteano is a great place to stay in Tuscany.
Sarteano is a great place to stay in Tuscany. Easy access to Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, Val d’Orcia without the high prices of the above mentioned tourist hotspots. A lovely spot in itself too.
This property is located in the city center of sarteano and is walking distance to almost everything you would like to visit. It was very clean and well maintained. The rooms were very spacious, well lit and had good air conditioning which was very much needed given the temperatures were reaching 36-37 degrees in august. Matilda, the host , was a very friendly person…she didn’t even charge us for one coffee mug that we accidentally broke during our stay.
Bruno is a gracious and charming host. He happily accommodated our vegan dietary requests. Baked goods, handmade by Bruno’s mother, were exceptional. His property is ideally located for exploring the lovely town of Sarteano and the entire region. Bruno mapped out our daily excursions to ensure we experienced the best of Tuscany and Umbria. We are highly recommending Ai Lecci in Centro to our friends. Bruno made this our best vacation to date.
The location was excellant. we were able to visit all the walled cities with a comfortable drive. the views were magnificent, we simple can't say enough about the beauty in this region.
the hotels restaurant and vistas from there were breathtaking especially at sunset.
every staff member was so sweet and helpful especially the owners, Selena and Jon Luk.
we would stay here again and again.
SPECTACULAR !!!
The combination of the spacious, comfortable and well equipped bedroom and bathroom with the super friendly and helpful owners made our stay special. Even a very late arrival was no problem! In the mornings we were treated to a home baked breakfast which was an absolute feast. This brand new hotel in the centre of beautiful Sarteano is a great addition to the area.
