All this accompanied with a warm welcome and a family feeling from the team that hosted us made our stay unforgettable!

San Cassiano is the best ski area in the Sella Ronda area - sunny all day, great pistes, empty lifts. If you want to go to Marmolada, you can go directly from San Cassiano to Arabba (without Corvara - saving time). Another nearby area I recommend is Alta Badia and Colfosco (no super ski pass required). If you go to Sella Ronda, I recommend visiting Pass Pordoi (2950m) - comparable views as from Marmolada, no queues, few people.

The Alta Badia area is in my opinion the most stunning place i have ever skied. It is not good for experts but if you are like me and been skiing for 40 years then perfectly prepared long blue runs are ideal .The Hidden Valley run is a must do - the only problem there is having to stop and take your gloves off every couple of minutes to take a photo as every corner gives you a new stunning view.

A great place for skiing with a family. An incredible selection of all types of slopes and minimal queues at the lifts. We appreciated the ski bus from the apartment to the slopes. I only missed an option for night skiing.

Nothing of historical architectural merit.
Nothing of historical architectural merit. Nice position overlooking the valley and mountain tops.
Artificially created expensive holiday village that was a little clinical if not completely charmless. Nothing old, natural or of local character here but OK for a touring base for those without budget concerns.
The hotel is in a stunning area and the staff could not be more helpful or welcoming. The rooms have incredible views and the breakfast spread is excellent. The hotel is about a 1km walk downhill into town where there are a few restaurants in the evening. Coming back up it's a bit of a climb, but it helps digestion! My partner had to do some work while we were out and the WiFi was fantastic and well up to speed for this.
Overall would definitely recommend if you're looking for a base from which to explore this fabulous area.
Situated in a high valley with stunning views of the Dolomites in every direction. Close to the village center but on a very quiet road. Exceptionally clean. Staff was very warm, friendly and helpful. Really nice sauna and wellness room with views. Food was terrific; local specialties were beautifully prepared and reasonably priced. Very nice wine bar offered nicely curated selections of regional wines by the glass or bottle.
Great place to stay in Dolomites. It is traditional Alpine hotel at 1700m above sea level surrounded by alpine passes well above 2000m.
It was shoulder season so the front desk staff was there only until 5PM. But they called us and explained how to get in so there was no problem arriving later in the evening.
Very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated apartment along the roadside in a hamlet about 1km outside San Cassiano.
You can cook your own breakfast or choose what you like on a list and it will be brought to your room. There's is also a small restaurant which serves food from the farm.
San Cassiano is a lovely place to stay in the summer with lots of great walks and amazing views to be had. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our evening meal there too and appreciated the advice about local wine. We would certainly stay at Casa Roby again if we were in the area.
Very spacious room - more like a service apartment with fully equipped kitchen. Large terrace. Clean and efficient. Excellent breakfast serving. Shuttle service at fixed time to the ski lift. Free ski storage at the ski lift. Large parking available. Efficient checkin-checkout.
Well equiped kitchen, clean bathroom. Very quite area, and beautiful views from the appartment. Just a 2 minute walk down the hill, and you are in the heart of San Cassiano. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay! Thank you so much!
Looking forward to comming back!

The area is amazing, you can choose from variety of accommodation, small room or cozy apartment. There is private skibus within 200m from the place. Perfect "farm" restaurant within 5min offering breakfasts and dinners.
The rooms were perfect little apartments and hotel staff was great. The gym was adequate. The breakfast was amazing and breakfast staff exceptionally nice and helpful in suggesting what to do in the Dolomites.
