Staff were very helpfull. Quite location away from the city. Served by a local bus.
Breakfast was very nice, fresh bread, cheese, fruits and great coffee. Served from 7am - 10pm.
5 minutes walk to the small quite beach.
Hotel was very quite after 8pm. So if you want a quite stay we would recommend here.
The rock bar for beers and snacks during the day was a good buzz. With tunes on, which you chill with views of the ocean. (2 minutes walk away). A pizza resturant is only 5/7 minutes walk from the hotel. Lovely pizza for about 10 euro.
Also the number 04 bus goes to the city centre about every hour and a half. It cost 1.50 per person and is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The bus takes about 20 minutes to reach the city centre. Same taxi ride would cost about 45 euros. So its great value.
Get off the bus very near Corso unberto I street. Its packed with shops and places to eat and drink. You can get the bus back up to about 8pm.
Fridge in room ! Great for keeping our beer cold. Which can be purchased for 3 euro at the hotel per bottle.
There is a supermarket about 8 minutes walk from the hotel.
Grand Hotel President offers you an exclusive stay in one of Olbia's most impressive buildings. The President faces the new tourist harbour and is close to the shopping area.

Olbia is all about the sea, and what a glorious turquoise sea it is. As the gateway to Sardinia’s stunning Emerald Coast, this down-to-earth town is often overlooked in favour of the more glamorous resorts. However, it does have attractions of its own.
The simple Basilica of San Simplicio dates to the 11th century and the Church of St Paul the Apostle is also medieval. The National Archaeology Museum houses Roman ships, as well as prehistoric artefacts from the surrounding area.
Sardinia has a wealth of prehistoric structures and one of these – the Tomba dei Giganti Su Monte‘e S’Abe – is near Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport and medieval Pedres Castle. Across the bay is Sa Testa Sacred Well, dating to at least 1200 BC.
Along the coast in Pittulongu are the real attractions – fantastic, unspoilt beaches from where you can see rocky Tavolara Island, a popular diving site. In summer, boats sail there from Isola Bianca Harbour, the arrival point of ferries from the Italian mainland. The harbour’s fishing boats are responsible for the fantastic mussels in Olbia’s seafood restaurants, some of which are amid bars and shops on Corso Umberto – the locals’ favourite passeggiata spot.
The Olbia accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury spa hotels, apartments near the beach and cheap B&Bs.

Easy to get around , great bus service to visit other places , Good food and wines . I liked the fact I heard no other English or Australian voices whilst there -I heard only Italian and a little French -I felt as if I were in Italy which I was of course ! The sea was clean (a relief as have heard bad things about the med) the snorkelling enjoyable . I also felt very safe whilst in Olbia - which is very important . Not as much history or archeological sites as Sicily for example , but better beaches , people mostly helpful and friendly . It worked for us as a group of 5 travelling separately coming from different places and meeting in Olbia .

I was in Olbia a couple of years ago for half day while waiting for my departing flight. I quite enjoyed it. I was back for one night this year because I had an early flight, but it was very disappointing. It was extremely hot, while in Alghero and the west coast I was coming from it was 8 degrees cooler thanks to the constant breeze. Prices for accommodations have become outrageous, due to high amount of flights often departing very early in the morning or arriving late at night people need to spend the night and have to pay between 100 and 150 euros for one room for one person. Anybody who owns a room in the center has turned it in a BB, asking for high prices not in line with the quality of what is being offered. In this way, people who live there do not find places to rent anymore. Sardegna is beautiful, there are gorgeous beaches everywhere. There is no need to stay in Olbia and contribute to this situation that Obla shares with other tourist destinations. Make sure to get a flight that doesn't oblige you to sleep there.

Two nice main streets in the city itself but other than those there isn't much to see, great food & drink spots scattered throughout. Taxis or cars really are the only way to get around which is annoying as their bus services are unreliable

Olbia was quaint, and looked like it could be used in films.
Olbia was quaint, and looked like it could be used in films. It is really picturesque, has beautiful beaches, friendly people, the restaurants made great food and gave a great service.
The cost of the food and drink is on par with London.
We took a couple of tours to visit the other islands and also booked a trip for a wine tour, this is a must as far as we are concerned.
The weather was top notch 30 - 34 degrees.
Would recommend Olbia to anybody especially if you want sun, sea and relaxation.

The old town is charming.
The old town is charming. However, the rest of the area - not so much. The water in the bay is quite polluted due to the intensive ferry traffic. The air is polluted as well due to the airport nearby and the extensive and chaotic car traffic. Most of the area around the old town looks poorly developed. The pavements for walkers are either absent or an afterthought. Most of the coastline within the city limits is very dirty and swampy.
So this city is rather a gateway/purgatory on your way to the beautiful places of Sardegna. Do not waste your time here, just rent a car or a boat and go exploring right away.
This a nice small but complete hotel, walking distance to Pitulongu beach. Amazing breakfast, with só many options. Nice restaurant too if you want to try true Sardinian dishes. You could also see that the owners are there all the time, and that it was a true and nice community. I really love the ground floor terrace room they offered me, I could take some sun. Too bad v the weather was not amazing, but I really enjoyed my time there. Free parking nearby. Amazing staff!!!
Very friendly & helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Pool was great. Standard of Accommodation was really high. Great location as really close to good beaches and also just outside the hustle & bustle of Olbia. I hope that as the season goes on and the hotel gets busier & busier that they can maintain this level of personal service.
Excellent stay in Pittulongu, close to the big town Olbia. We loved staying here because the rooms were very cute and clean, charming because of the balcony directed towards the beach Pittulongu which is only a few min away.
Especially the hosts, Giulia and her husband were very nice and helpful.
We can definitely recommend it!😊
Loved how modern the hotel room was and the well thought out details, like the built in cabinets to store your luggage. Although the location of the hotel appeared far on the map, it was a short distance drive to downtown Olbia which was great!
The room was neat and tidy. Amazing beaches nearby to explore. Olbia center is 15 min by car. Andrea is a helpful host. Our arrival flight was delayed and he let us check in even in 5 am.
