Location was amazing, right by the lake and on the front. Our room had a terrace overlooking the main square in Menaggio and the lake which was amazing. The rooftop pool was amazing and the aperol is great!

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The building is beautiful. The cat was cute. Location is great if you have a car - and if you do, the parking works very nicely. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced.

The old-world charm of the hotel is beautiful. We loved having the lake view with a spacious patio. Our room was very spacious, and housekeeping kept it exceptionally clean!
The bar area and lounge are beautiful places to sit. Outside is spectacular by the pool with a stunning view of the lake and mountains. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the patio were wonderful. There were plenty of choices for breakfast and lattes and cappuccinos were delicious. The ferry dock was right next to the hotel which made it so easy for transportation. The walk into the village was a short one and there were several wonderful restaurants to dine in.

The room was gorgeous, very clean and smells nice. Hand soap smelled amazing! The people were ao nice and even offered us a ride to the bus station. The breakfast was great! Never had better breakfast at an accommodation before. Balcony had pretty flowers and the lake view was great!

Well, words can't describe this place! It's an amazing property. We had the entire penthouse for all by ourselves and the view from the property is magnificent facing lake Como. The hots Darin was in touch from the beginning to ensure we are checked in safely and on time. Adele who is in charge of our check-in, was on time and explained well about the property. It's full with latest technology and complete kitchenet. It's a pity that we just had 1 night here but this would have been an amazing stay for more than 2 nights and as well as with a group. No worries about not having breakfast since you have all the tools needed to cook yourself a quick breakfast. Again, I'm so amazed with the place and just have no words to describe more. It was also easy to get to the ferry terminal to cross over to Belaggio and explore the place. So all awesome and I'm sure you would need a car to enjoy to the max. Free parking is available, so all good.

Fantastic views, very clean and spacious. Great balcony with lounge to chill out on and just listen to the birds. Comfy beds and beautiful soft towels. Washing machine was also a great plus, when you are away from home for 3 months like us.

Mennagio was a lovely little town with fab links to Varenna and Bellagio (we day-tripped). Hired a boat from AC boats which I recommend as it was decently priced :) Cafe del Pas in the square does the best aperol spritz’s! We found food and drink to be very decently priced (e.g. could get a pizza for €10 and a glass of wine for €5), especially compared to the nearby more famous villages

Menaggio is a beautiful town and we loved that is was much quieter than Bellagio which is over run with tourists.
We went swimming in the lake at the local beach, enjoyed walks up into the hills behind the town and walks along the promenade.
There are lots of places to eat out or enjoy an Aperitif, but we also enjoyed making a picnic and eating lakeside.
You can easily catch a ferry to visit other towns or hire a boat and go on your own adventure.
We caught the ferry from Como. The fast ferry is not always easy to get a ticket for and the slow ferry takes over 2 hours. We later realised we could have caught the train to Varenna from Milan and then caught a quick ferry to Menaggio.

Menaggio is stunning and very clean. Our accommodation was in an excellent, comfortable apartment with all the facilities you need as a traveller - fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, comfortable beds and walk in shower. It was next to the ferry terminal so we could hop on a ferry to different parts of Lake Como. Our apartment was on the flat area in Menaggio, close to the centre, restaurants and supermarkets, making it easy to get to places. There is a reasonable local bus service to that we used to go to other villages and markets. Taxis are not great or easy to get and for much of the accommodation there you need to be prepared for some steep walks up and down each day.

Menaggio is a beautiful town, about midway up Lake Como, in one of the best regions. An easy town to navigate without too many steep levels with plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes. Not too many retail shops, and a good selection of nice hotels. The ferry connects to other towns around the lake.
We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Garni Corona. To be honest, the room exceeded my expectations! I really loved the lake view we had, as well as how big the room is, and the variety of toiletries available. Most hotels we stayed at in Italy didn’t include conditioner, but this hotel had that, and even a soap for intimates (have never seen that before at any hotel). The breakfast was also great. Loved the cold cuts, fresh orange juice, and the cappuccinos. It’s nice that breakfast is from 7:45-10:15 so it’s a big timeframe.
Really beautiful, unobstructed view of lake como. The house had everything we needed plus some extras (items for the pool when it’s open.). The welcome basket full of yummy Italian snacks and wine was a lovely touch especially given the odd hours of the local grocery stores. Easy 10 minute walk on a pedestrian path to the ferry and into town. Garage parking was also a plus. Also a nice little playhouse and kids books for small children. Highly recommend and would stay again.
Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Italy. The family make this experience so personable and better than you’ll find at any hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and comfortable. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They recommended and made all our dinner reservations, have their own boat/Vespa rental that we made full use of, the view from the B&B can’t be described it’s so beautiful, and the rooms were perfect.
The hotel is a bit further up the hill from Lago di Como but that allows the rooms to have an amazing view. It’s about 20 minutes walking down the hill to the centre of Menaggio (obvs more to go back up the hill). Breakfast is very diverse, lots of options, rooms are spacious, staff is very friendly and the car spots are within the gated area so safe to leave your car as well. Nothing negative really, it’s exactly as described. Would definitely recommend!!
Listen to me ! If you want to have a perfect journey on Lake Como, this is the place to stay!!! Gorgeous view from the balcony, close to Menaggio only 15-20 flat walking distance that includes amazing views of the lake during the walk and most important close to the ferry that makes it very very easy to visit Bellagio, Varenna and all other lake Como destinations, and last but not least the woman at reception was very lovely and helpful !
If you're looking for a cheap place to stay around Lake Como, this is the best price you'll find! The staff were so lovely and so friendly, we really enjoyed chatting with them and they made our stay there very memorable. The shared dining room area was lovely and it had a stunning view of Lake Como, not to mention the meals they sell for dinner were absolutely delicious and affordable!!
I made a very last minute decision and booked Hotel Sonenga at 6:00pm. I told them I would arrive closer to 8pm but when I showed up before 7 they were able to accommodate. The man that owned it and his son were so sweet and greeted me with all smiles. It is a bit up on the hill and out of the main part of Menaggio, which I really enjoyed. Only 10 minute walk to the ferry.
We had an unforgettable stay at the Nobiallum b&b at Lake Como in Italy! The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, and the hospitality and warm welcome we received made our trip extra special. A big thank you for the delightful birthday surprise - breakfast in bed! Highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic getaway
The location was great, beautiful views, and a short walk to lakeside Menaggio. The property was beautiful. We stayed in the annex; it was very clean only across the road from the main hotel. The pool was very nice and the breakfast good. The staff was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We really liked the location of this hotel. It’s about a 20 min walk from Menaggio, but the walk to the city is on a path with lake views and the hotel is right on the water in a more quiet area. Plus you cannot beat the price compared to other places on Lake Como!
