Great 4-star hotel halfway between Olbia, Porto Rotondo, and Golfo Aranci. Everything is within easy reach. It is an excellent starting point for exploring the area. Bright and spacious room, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Noteworthy mention: it is located in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in northern Sardinia.
Offering a free private beach area, VELA BLU Rooms provides accommodation in Marinella, a 10-minute drive from Golfo Aranci.

Amazing location - right by the beach and not far from the train station so not strictly necessary to rent a car for a short stay because so many wonderful locations are accessible by train. Everything you need is just a minute from the apartment, cafe, restaurant, mini market, beach... Super friendly communication, very helpful, Signora Izabella and her husband are charming and will organise an airport transfer for you if necessary. 10/10 recommended!
The Hotel For You was born in the heart of the historic center of Olbia, a few meters from the central Corso Umberto, and near the "Bardanzellu" and "Via Nanni" car parks.

Hotel is outside center but easily connected by bus. It has a supermarket close by, lots of restaurants and coffee shops close also.
Rooms were spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was extremely nice and fulfilled every request we had.
I recommend paying extra for breakfast.
Set literally just a few steps from the beach on a beautiful bay, Hotel Mare Blue features breathtaking views of Tavolara Island and comfortable rooms in typical Emerald Coast style.
Grand Hotel President offers you an exclusive stay in one of Olbia's most impressive buildings. The President faces the new tourist harbour and is close to the shopping area.

There is not a lot do in Marinella in the evenings, not really and shops or restaurants, the infrastructure is poor. There is slightly more open in Golfo Arancini but not enough little shops to mooch in or restaurants for us to sit and people watch. A ride to Olbia is around 20 minutes, they have more restaurants in the high street but still quite a small town.

- several times, when we ordered our "fresh fruits" they were rotten and dirty (and once our prawns were served with a little dead spider on their surface)
- Juice which was a part of the "breakfast form" was a mixture of chemicals (the taste was really terrible)
- some of the basic breakfast food were proposed for extra charge, examples: 5 EUR for fried eggs; 6 EUR for fried eggs with bacon; 2,50 EUR for soft boiled egg and 5 EUR for fresh juices
BEACH: you have to pay to use their sunbeds
SWIMMING POOL: closed at 18h

Marinella is beautiful. The beach is stunning.
Marinella is beautiful. The beach is stunning. For sunbeds on the beach, check out Da Piero and his daughter Georgia, best value, and she's lovely. Il Nodo and The Botticelli restaurants, in the next village, serve the best authentic Sardinian dishes. Seafood, cuttlefish and peas, sardian gnocchi with ragu sauce is a must. Both restaurants are very accommodating when it comes to translating your bad Italian. Transport to Olbia is easy and very cheap. Unfortunately the trains stop running early. I would recommend hiring a car.

A great friendly harbour place with white sand beach.
A great friendly harbour place with white sand beach. Absolutely loved it. Loads of stuff to do if you are in to boats and related pursuits. Can go to nearby islands for snorkelling etc.
Sea food dishes plenty. Limited choice if you are not into sea food although friendly staff even russled up vegetarian (Verdure if you don't know what Veg is in Italian) pasta.
Need a car to go to other places but within Marinella everything is walking distance. Plenty of food places.
Don't forget to eat Gelato!!
Only one super market which is limited in choice - a bit pricey too.
The room has a terrace and a splendid view on the Golfo di Marinella. Sergio is a wonderful host, preparing the most delicious breakfast you will find in Sardinia, and supporting his guests with additional information on activities, beaches, hiking trails, hidden places, and villages with a particularly nice character and atmosphere. Bellavista Marinella is the ideal accomodation to discover the entire North-East of Sardinia. Highly recommended - we definitely will come again.
