Location was perfect, directly across from the beach. We went early June so beaches and the town were still very quiet which was nice. Breakfast was lovely and having a drink on the terrace in the evening was an added bonus. Bed's were a little stiff but great value for money.

There's not much to do here in winter. It is obviously a town that comes to life in summer. We struggled to find a bar open in the afternoon for a snack. There are nicer places on the Tuscan coast.

Great place, we liked all the restaurants we went to and our hotel Excelsior was great ! We had outstanding service at Bagno Maria Pia during the day and we loved Ristorante La Carretta at night (for dinner). The beach (Bagno Maria Pia ) was nice and clean and the owners of the restaurant treated us like their family . We also liked a lot pizza at Sayonara . So many great options they have !

Catch a bus to Massa station, and from there a train to Pisa...
Catch a bus to Massa station, and from there a train to Pisa, or Florence, or Luca, or La Spezia. From La Spezia catch the Cinque Terre train.
There are lots of eating places.
Marina di Massa can be very hot and crowded in July/August, so travel another time if possible.

Marina di Massa is really nice, but maybe not the best...
Marina di Massa is really nice, but maybe not the best destination for people round they 40ies :) Lot's of teens and families, kids... For 1 day/night really nice. But we made several trips to other cities nearby, so everything's fine. Really licked Lucca and Pietrasanta.

Small town with lovely beach and restaurant. Great atmosphere. Only disappointed in taxi fares they are 70 -50 Euro for less then 10 minutes journey. They do ripe you once they know you are not resident.

Beautiful town beautiful location however transport is too expensive if you are disabled persons or have someone who can’t walk their charges are extortion for 0.8 km charge are 25 to 35 Euro for a return journey which is less the 5 minutes away.
I thought London was expensive but this was just unbelievable.
People are unhelpful if you speak in English and some are quite rude to a point of just walking away. Good to travel if you speak Italian

We absolutely loved it - the place was very clean, the facilities were excellent. We had so much space and 2 balcony’s. Absolutely the best part of our stay was Enrico and Maria Luisa, they were so so kind to us. They absolutely made our stay in Marina Di Massa so special. We will come back because of how well they treated us and our little boy. An honour to spend some time with them.
The beach is really close, like 3 minutes walk. The owner is very helpful. He even lent some beach towels, and he let us use his freezer for the stuff we brought from our trip from Corsica. No questions asked. The place is super clean. When we visit Tuscany again, we will be staying here for sure.

The sandy beach (Bagno Vignoli) is just across the road, you’ll get 10% discount as a hotel guest. Bike hiring for free,  parking places for free , beautiful garden, full of flowers 
Lovely family owned hotel, quiet and peaceful even in the middle of August. They offer a decent breakfast and you can also add a good lunch or dinner. The staff was amazing with us and our little daughter. I highly recommend it

Very nice hotel, We spent only 1 night however it exceeded our expectations. The receptionist was very polite and friendly, and assisted in all! Nice bar and garden. Very clean. Really good breakfast!
