The view from the room was fantastic - straight out of an Instagram story. The gardens and warm pool!!!!! were beautiful with flowers EVERYWHERE, and nice beds and lovely areas to sit and read, with cushioned seats. Tables and chairs also if you wanted to write or whatever. The pool was the same level from one end to the other end - which I like because I can't thread water.- but was deep enough for a good swim. A fresh rose was in our room when we arrived which was a lovely touch. We just happened to get the family room which was bigger than most. The place was spotless and charming - a sense of the old world about it. Breakfast was simple : eggs and bacon , some cereals, juice and delicious pastries - sometimes Cake! Cheese etc All types coffee from coffee station. Vincenzo on reception was super lovely and helpful in all regards. All staff lovely. It's a very special place! I hope it doesn't change. We only went B & B but food looked great and on the one night we ate there the food was lovely - and on a beautiful balcony with amazing sunsets and view. Great relaxing place.

Breakfast was provided and was a lovely assortment of pastries, bread, eggs, cheese, meat, cereal, preserves, fresh juice and of course caffeine. The rooms was exceptionally clean, with a lovely view and good updated amenities. The pools were clean, well maintained, not over crowded, there were so many that there was multiple options and the staff were all excellent, especially the bar staff on the main pool floor who provided us with coffee's, drinks, snacks and great new options to try. the location was much closer to the town than we originally thought so we didn't even have to use the shuttle service.

Once you get away from the port, you can find lovely places...
Once you get away from the port, you can find lovely places with beautiful views of the sea, flowers, restaurants with superb food, relaxing swimming etc. etc. The port is not attractive. The area around La Matricana is less attractive.
But Ischia is an island with many lovely places. We especially recommend the area above Maronti beach, where we stayed.
Di Iorio and Onda Verde offer terrific food -- the tastes of the sea.

This was my second visit to Ischia.
This was my second visit to Ischia. I have stayed at Hotel Europa both times as they are so welcoming and helpful at all times. Also they have a great breakfast and evening meal.
Ischia has so much character and is a lovely relaxed place. It has the most wonderful restaurants I would recommend taking a boat tour around the island if possible. A tour of the Castello Aragonese is also a must. The little town of Sant’Angelo is really worth a visit. It is so beautiful.

I liked the island of Ischia. Cab drivers are aggressive in their pricing -need to negotiate the fee ahead of time. You can take the public bus easily if you are not taking your luggage. If taking luggage, other than a backpack or very small suitcase, you need to take a cab.

Overal beautiful island, great views, great beaches, comparable scenery to Amalfi coast, without the crowd. Good restaurants in the main city. All sights are easily accessible from the city of Ischia with buses. A true hidden gem. + full days is perfectly enough to discover everything.
The view from our room was outstanding. The design and attention to detail was so beautiful. The staff and owners so helpful. They drove us to the town near by and to posideon the water park which was absolutely stunning the most relaxing day.
The spa was insane. Two pools one hot and one cold overlooking the sea and town. The massage me and my mum got again was incredible. So personal and such a lovely woman. Food and wine also exceptional. Been to many hotels and this is the best. Will definitely return. Be an absolute dream
The best thing is overall niceness and value for money. The location is good (10..15 minutes walk to a port, same to the supermarket and city center with restaurants), the apartment itself is good (AC, decently equipped kitchen, washing machine), and the host is outstanding. Even though we barely spoke the same language, it was very clear that the host is very hospitable and wishes well for the guests

The hotel is beautiful and the family who owns it is really wonderful - warm and generous in every way you can imagine. We got great advice about how to spend our time in Ischia and how to get around the island. Our large, pretty room with gorgeous views stayed cool even during a heat wave. There is a comfortable garden with sea views for relaxing (it also supplies the kitchen with a lot of beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables). Breakfast and dinner were prepared by the family - all truly delicious. A genuinely special place.
Unbelievably beautiful spot on a hilltop by the sea on Ischia. Jaw dropping views that will stop you in your tracks. Truly top class service by a well-trained staff. Even though you could tell a lot of the staff was new and there for the summer season, it was immediately apparent they had been supervised and trained exquisitely. The pools have to be the best on Ischia (I’ve stayed in four other upscale hotels, and this was the best, by far. Not even close). Really good breakfast and the dinner was pretty impressive too.
Loved the pool and spa area! My room was quiet and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, selection of pillows and pleasant air conditioning. There is a small refrigerator/ mini bar that is restocked with bottled water daily, for a charge. Appreciated the free shuttle service to the hotel’s private little beach club and also has a snack bar. Had a fantastic lunch at the pool with a delicious scialatielli pasta with mussels. Location is good, within a reasonable walking distance of Ischia Porto center and the beaches.
Spectacular location with a 5 star service. The attention to detail is amazing, a lot of thought and love went into the interior design. The host is a real gentleman who takes really good care of his guests. Breakfast was of very high quality and variety. Sitting by the pool and enjoying wonderful view is the perfect way to spend your day at this boutique hotel. The free shuttle throughout the day is an added bonus and makes getting to the port very easy. We will definitely be returning to this gem on Ischia.
The stunning view of the castle (Castello Aragonese) from the main terrace is worth a visit! This hotel is a jewel of comfort tradition and quiet. A stone throw from the harbor on one side and Ischia Ponte on the other side this place is ideal for family trips. We have been welcomed with a smile and a special attention to our girl thanks to a professional and personalized touch especially at breakfast. The beauty centre is cozy and well managed. Highly recommended, I am sure we will come back!
You will not find a more accommodating hotel than Grifo! All of the staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful. They will call you cabs to get around the island and when possible, will take you down to the port for free on their shuttle. The pool is awesome and the location on the island is perfect. The views from the hotel, both the mountains and the sea, are stunning. I would recommend Grifo to anyone looking for a hotel on Ischia.

You're close to the harbour and the ferries, the bus station and the old town.

Very nice hotel located just a few metres from a sandy beach (there is also a bus stop nearby in case you would like to go to Forio or Ischia Porto). The hotel has a spacious terrace with a beautiful sea view. There are even ropes for drying swimsuits or towels, which we found very useful after returning from the beach. We were very pleased with our stay here.

The appartment is spacious, with a wonderful view on Ischia Porto and Aragon Castle - great for a breakfast on the balcony in May. The kitchen was very well equipped. Everything was very clean. The host Natalia was very nice and helpful - she was always reachable per WhatsApp.
The island of ischia is a small piece of paradise off the bay of Naples and Paradise Relais Villa Jantò exudes the Islands spirit and charm. The view from the hotel’s perch on the mountain side is its best feature and the staff help you feel like a local.
The hotel has a very nice view to The sea, a spa area(small but I guess is ok for who use spa and also a nice swimming pool outside, we only stayed on the beach but i saw alot of people were on the swimming pool as well). Good stuff, very clean and quite.
