I spent all my Summers as a child and young teen in Ginosa Marina. I was born in Bari. This place has very spacious, sandy beaches, it is a good place if you have children and you are looking for a vacation a bit less expensive than in the rest of Apulia nowadays. If you are an easy-going person who love eating in simple places, swimming, sun-bathing in very warm weather, and whose children love to play in the water 24 hours / day, then Ginosa is for you. If you are bit of a more "elegant" tourist- type and do not like family crowds, I would go somewhere else.

Mainly a destination for the locals, Marina di Ginosa offers great, sandy beaches and a cristal clear sea. The beaches are either private (lido) where you'll be provided with sun beds, table and umbrella (we paid 15 euro/day for 2 sunbeds, a chair and umbrella)) during weekdays and 18 during weekend) or public ( spiagia) - free of charge.
Food is great, we've tried street food as well as a few restaurants.
Recommended to be visited by car, otherwise connections will take quite a bit of time.
Most of the people don't speak English so you'll need to learn a few words in Italian.

Ginosa Marina is a quiet seaside town in Apulia.
Ginosa Marina is a quiet seaside town in Apulia. While the town itself is really nothing special - it's just a bunch of houses with basic services, a few hotels and restaurants - the sandy beaches and crystal-clear sea are really great, especially for young children, as the water is shallow and many well-managed serviced beaches are available. I'd definitely recommend it for families looking for a nice and quiet seaside holiday with their kids.
Very spacious and very very clean. Large rooms and large public areas. Staff very friendly. Really liked staying there. There's also ample parking in the hotel car park. And, for a small amount you can have a late checkout (up to 6pm). Also amazing value for money.
Very quiet spot in the middle of the nature close to Ginosa Marina beach. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the layout of the place. It felt like home! The owners and the staff were helpful and professional.
We arrived when everyone of the hotel staff were in preparation of entertaining a large party. The room was nice, spacious and so was the bathroom. Our sleep was not disturbed by the party.
