Loved everything.
Loved everything. There's no need to drive as travelling around by bus and boat is so easy. There's plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling,swimming and water activities. Plenty of very good local wines to enjoy and food is exceptional. Everyone's ideal holiday is different. We stayed in Garda as it has the "village" feel. It is quaint, with narrow pedestrianised streets and arches. There are many lakeside restaurants all serving excellent cuisine, it is difficult to choose a favourite so here's some Giardinetto, Osteria Porto, Al Graspo, Al Pescatore.

Plenty of other areas to visit all within easy access. Cheap, reliable, frequent buses and river boats to get you around the lake.
Lovely food and nice friendly restaurants - most had exactly the same on their menu so a bit of variety might be nice if you stay longer - it was fine for 5 days.
Affordable and loved the many boutique shops and the ice cream parlours.

This is the fourth time we have holidayed in Lake Garda and stayed in Garda. We have visited several other resorts but feel that Garda has everything for us. It has a village feel, with some good shops, very good restaurants and we love the pavement culture. It is also one of the most convenient places to travel by ferry.

We loved walking to Bardilino from Lake Garda. We also loved the great restaurants and scenery in both places. From the photos you can see the hill we had to climb every day to get to our appointment. Not good for a 76/ 71 year old elderly couple. The hill to the restaurant and swimming pool was just as bad. So unless you had a car you couldn't avail of the swimming pool and restaurant. Unfortunately we were never informed of this situation. We also had no hair dryer or iron. The couch was damaged. The only channels on the TV where all in Italian. You had 3 news channels in English. They should warn elderly travellers that the apartments are not suitable for them.
Very nice modern apartment. Powerful shower, large double bed, nice kitchen/lounge area. We had a nice patio area to sit outside (despite not paying extra for a balcony). Peaceful location with views of the hills. Good heating system which was important for the evenings (we stayed in April). About a 10 min walk from the apartment to the bus station, and about 15 minute walk from apartment to the lakeside.
The rooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard and are very modern, clean and comfortable. The sky pool and bar have a great view of the town and lake and the hotel is located very close to all the restaurants and shops in Garda. An ideal place for families and couples looking to explore. The receptionist was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
We had a "villa" for 7 persons, it is actually quite small. I would recommend for a group of (male) friends who don't care to much about it. Ideally for spending time at Lago di Garda and the Valpolicella wine region is close by. Nice views over Lago di Garda from the top of Monte Baldo, which is not that far away. Good restaurant in the parc. Possibility for bbq.
Good situation, only 100 meters from Lake Garda. Walking area, so car have to leave 250 meters away behind the bus station. Parking fee about 20,-€/day and of course less with shorter parking period.
Buffet breakfast very good and room was big enough. Good to know, that there is no elevator but it was not important to us.
