Foligno is a pleasant little town - not a lot to see but...
Foligno is a pleasant little town - not a lot to see but lots of eating and drinking options, a few shops, an attractive central piazza (although the cathedral has been closed for years), a nice park with loads of seats, a cafe and an excellent playground for children. There's even a river if you look hard enough. However we stayed there primarily for the rail access to nearby places like Assisi and Perugia.

Fogliono to me is a very practical town with good access either by road or rail. For the final part of our hike along the via del Francesco, it was ideal. we also discovered there are many really good restaurants, shops, places to visit. The staff in the tourist office are extremely helpful.

High on the hills above Foligno, between the olive trees, you have a peaceful stay and a beautiful view of the Umbrian Valley. In the centre of Umbria you can go quickly in every direction.
Every day papa cleans the nice pool and mama Marisa makes a tastefull breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, a lot of cakes and pies and fresh coffee.
Nice, clean and spacious rooms with a good, large bed. Airconditioning, which is being installed this week, makes it perfect.
In the evening you may have dinner, made from the heart by Marisa and the family.
Service for the walkers, help for any need.

The apartments have all the amenities, from spices in the kitchen and capsules for the coffee machine to warm blankets and bathroom amenities. located in the old town, restaurants nearby, Lidl grocery store 20 minutes walk. 15 minutes to the station from where you can go to Florence, Rome or Perugia. The owner Catia is very hospitable and friendly, she will try to help you solve your problems. If I need to stay in Foligno again I will definitely come back here
The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also very close to Foligno old town so very convenient for restaurants. Would definitely recommend Relais Metelli for a stay in Foligno.

Great studio apartment in the historic section of Foligno. Walking distance to shops, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. Easy check in. Friendly and responsive host. Room was comfortable and quiet. The kitchenette was well stocked. Access to a washing machine was a plus!

We were surprised by this hotel: location, staff, restaurant, breakfast- everything was excellent! Tucked away in a convenient location, it proved to be the perfect starting point for our adventures and a serene retreat at the end of our bustling days.
The lady who managed the hotel was very friendly. The room itself was clean and adequate to my needs and was a good value for the money. The hotel is only a five-minute walk to the train station and is proximate to the middle of town.
Excellent, firm mattress. Very good 'rain' shower. A barista at breakfast! Great location for the centro storico and even for the station on the far side of town (15 - 20 minute walk).
