We spent four wonderful days at beautiful Favignana, a real gem. A really laid back island feeling. On rental bikes we explored the entire island. Everywhere views to the bluest sea, and swimming in crystal clear water.
We enjoyed great local food in some of the many restaurants.

What a fabulous place to visit.
What a fabulous place to visit. We stayed 6 nights which I think was a little too long. 3-4 nights would have been sufficient. We hired motor scooters which was a great way to see the island. Such a beautiful location with amazing clear waters to swim in.

A hidden gem, beautiful island for walking and cycling.
A hidden gem, beautiful island for walking and cycling. Great food options and lots of history. We hiked up to the old fort which had great views of the whole island. It’s derelict and dilapidated, a bit creepy really but Urbexer’s would love it as there’s stuff to see, like an old bathroom with a stone bath and what looks like a generator. We also visited the Turtle Conservation Centre, the talk is in Italian but there’s information translated and you get the gist. Some of the buildings in the port area are very beautiful and old, it has a 1930’s feel to it in places. Palazzo di Florio built by the family who made their fortune from the tuna works they built, also beautiful, has palm trees an looks stunning lit up at night.
Bicycle hire is the thing on the island which is mainly flat. We cycled but there are many places hiring electric bikes, and boats too. If you’re flush, hire a boat - take a picnic, perfecto!

This island is very small, but has so many amazing beaches!
This island is very small, but has so many amazing beaches! Renting a bike is the easiest way to get from beach to beach, definitely a must. There are several great restaurants and all the staff are incredibly friendly. (Although very little English is spoken by most) Could easily spend 3-5 full days on the island.

Favignana is a unique place to visit.
Favignana is a unique place to visit. We stayed there for 6 days which was enough time to truly unwind and enjoy the beautiful beaches that are plentiful in the island. The water at most beaches is crystal clear I would recommend visiting liddo burrone if you want to enjoy reclining on a deck chair with an umbrella. Cala Rossa or Bue Marino if you are a more adventurous swimmer and Cala Azzura if you just want to chill. The nearby islands have beautiful grottos you can explore that are just as nice as those in Capri. It is helpful to have basic Italian to communicate, as most of the tourists in this area are Italian and thus most of the hospitality staff have little English.

The apartment in the beautiful villa was absolutely perfect – romantic, super clean, and in the best location. The breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality and service were outstanding. Thanks to the excellent tips, we were able to explore Favignana Island to the fullest
adored our stay on Favignana - this hotel is wonderful, beautiful style, the most friendly and helpful staff (recommended dinners, booked us bikes and always happy to help) - the highlight of our trip to Sicily and we will be back with more of our family next time!
The house and garden are absolutely stunning! Loved the location, too - close to all the Calas you want to see. Rented a bike from the hotel and explored the island. Transfer from Harbour possible.
Had a wonderful time!
