My only reason for going there was to fulfill my dream to visit the very beautiful and famous church of Sant' Antimo. By staying overnight I was able to spend an afternoon and a full morning the next day at this lovely church. I had chosen to walk there 12 km from Montalcino: it was a long and very hot trip lasting four hours, but it was worth it in the end. I would recommend NOT walking there alone, as the path was very rough, but luckily nothing happened to me physically. I had a really splendid supper up in the village, specially cooked for me in the late evening - all for euro 15!
