We really liked pretty much everything. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view over the pine forest and the garden. The breakfast and dinner were very good. One evening a week, they have even fresh mozzarella maker! The private beach is beautiful and the beach service is very convenient.

A visit in the summer for the beach would be nice.
A visit in the summer for the beach would be nice. We were there during a rainy, windy, stormy day in the spring and there is not much to do there under those conditions. Weather does have a big affect our rating. but Booking.com is asking about our stay, not how we might have rated the place under other weather conditions.

The villa is set in a private pine forest park area. It has a private beach access through the woods, available by car or walking, down a track - about 2 km. From the beach you can access Castellaneta Marina and many other beaches. The garden of the villa is pleasant, as is the villa decor. The villa has good air-conditioning, two bathrooms, a washing machine, a small kitchen and a nice outside dining area as well as an interior dining/lounge area. There were very few flies or mosquitoes, which was a big plus.
Hotel is just across the beach, cleanliness of the hotel and room. Sun umbrella and sun bed in front row but we paid for this in the price of our booking. Soya milk available at breakfast for my morning coffee. Breakfast staff was nice and helpful. They accommodated my dietary requirements even though I've asked at the last minute. If you notify them upfront of any dietary requirements, I'm sure they'll provide you with a better choice.
Ticho's is a typical Italian seaside hotel, not for everyone, but if this is what you want , as we did, it is an excellent choice.
Good air-conditioning, good plumbing, good shower pressure, good supply of hot water.
Breakfast was typical of Italy, Good variety, including hot freshly made food, good coffee.
Alborea is an amazing resort, the ‘lodges’ are spacious and nice, the food is fantastic and you can use all of the facilities of the linked hotels (tennis, football, water sports etc). The beach is beautiful, sandy and long, and the water very shallow for families
