The view from anywhere in this place is literally stunning! Whether you are in the room, sauna or pool, you will enjoy the mountains. The stuff treats you as the long awaited guest. The food is always fresh, various and not boring. The dinner was different all 4 nights we stayed there. Iulian (the waiter in the restaurant) deserves 6 stars out of 5: timely, extremely gentle, exceptional service! Multumim, Iulian!

We absolutely loved our night at this hotel. Our suite was a great size and layout and spotlessly clean. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced. The spa was fantastic, being able to appreciate the views from the hot tub was very special. All the staff were absolutely lovely, very personable but professional and gave us a fantastic local dinner recommendation. The breakfast was also top quality and very tasty. We found the location perfect to explore Bolzano. We will definitely be returning again.

Bolzano is one of those cases that are difficult to describe without risking undermining its beauty and complexity. A witness of the conflicts and renaissance of Europe, this Italian city is the capital of the German speaking province of South Tyrol. Located in the Adige River Valley, it is surrounded by hills crowned by castles, and framed by the Dolomites Alps.
After reaching the local railway station, follow the Bahnhofsallee or Viale della Stazione and you’ll reach Walther Square, where the beautiful Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady is located. The shops along the arcaded street of Via dei Portici will lead you towards the market, located in Goethe Strasse. The display of colourful vegetables and flowers encompasses the beautiful buildings, while some of the best luxury hotels in Bolzano are located nearby.
The city is famous for its Christmas Market, but be aware that most of the hotels in Bolzano get sold out quickly during this time! A stroll around the old residential quarter of Gries and a visit to the many nearby castles is a must.
Whether you arrive at the local Dolomites Airport or the larger Verona Airport, check out the Bolzano accommodation deals on Booking.com before travelling!

We enjoyed exploring the picturesque streets, filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. The food was fantastic, offering a delightful mix of traditional South Tyrolean cuisine and Italian classics.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, where we learned about the famous Ötzi the Iceman. There is also an amazing Messner Museum nearby. The ease to access different trails from the city made it another advantage.
Every aspect of our trip was enhanced by the friendly locals who were always eager to help and share their love for the city. Whether we were enjoying a leisurely stroll through the old town, sipping coffee in a quaint cafe, or hiking in the nearby Dolomites, we felt welcomed and at home.

I highly recommend that if you visit Bolzano, you use the furnicular and go up to SopaBolzano. The ride is wonderful and you have a panoramic view. There is also a train on the top that you can go all along the top and look at the view. We had coffee and gelato at the little café at the top of the mountain. Such a relaxing, nice time. There is also very good shopping in Bolzano and restaurants. We had dinner at Paulaner Stuben—it was awesome!!

It was so much better than we expected.
It was so much better than we expected. Perfect combination between Austrian and Italian culture. You could eat schnitzels ánd pasta in almost every restaurant. Not too touristy (we went in September). Within 15 minutes you could go to the mountains by cable car for little money. The mountains (via Oberbozen for example) were very beautiful, wide and quiet. You could take a 100 year old tram in Oberbozen that went through the little villages up the mountains. 100% coming back! Tip: go by train! It was very accessible, we came from Innsbruck which is only a 2 hr train ride from Bolzano, including breathtaking views.

We loved the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology, the MMM Fermian and the victory monument. Oberon Restaurant was an outstanding Pizza place and the staff are friendly too. We stayed at the Roma Ariston Apartments' and we had a great time there. The mountains around Bolzano were super cool and we highly recommend Bolzano.
Two night stay on road trip through Italy. Conveniently located at the edge of the city. Still within walking distance to the center and main attractions. Comfortable bed. Quiet location of room with balcony in second building away from the main plaza. Good choice of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. Parking garage at preferred rate for hotel guests close by. Added bonus of hotel providing guests with Bozen Card (free public transport & entrance to a number of museums,etc.). Overall good value.
Classy intimate hotel with modern styling. Great facilities, very clean rooms with Bluetooth speakers a plus. Great stylish bar and lawn for summer drinks and reclining on the lounger. Location couldn't hvae been better either, 5 minutes from rail station and also minutes from downtown Bolzano & all it has to offer. Would 100% stay again should I be in Bolzano again soon. Staff very friendly and helpful too. Very pleasantly surprised!
The location was great. The Hotel Anita is located in the middle of a residential area with lush gardens and 19th century villas. The garden is beautiful and the Rooms are quiet. At the same time, the hotel is located close to the center of Bolzano/Bozen with nice restaurants and all the other things you could possibly wish for.
The team at B&B Hotel Dolomiti was one of the kindest and most welcoming I've ever met. Mr. Moreno and Mrs. Antonietta were helpful in answering my questions about the city. The breakfast was nice. The location was useful for me, as I could reach the city center in just a few minutes, and Bolzano's bus system is very efficient.
It is a boutique hotel managed by a family. It is centrally located to everything easy access to transportation and attractions. The card pass to all transportation was given to us free for our stay. Breakfast is healthy and feel like homemade. Highly recommended and if i return to Bolzano would stay here again.
- you can reach the city centre o foot (or by bus no. 10)
- the hotel provides the customers with the Bolzano card, allowing free entrance to museums and free use of the transportation system (in the whole of South Tirol)
- the hotel has a partnership with a neighbouring car park at a discount price per day
A beautifully designed hotel in a historic townhouse in the centre of Bolzano. Stylist and very comfortable rooms. Fantastic night sleep. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. Will definitely return. Please visit the Frankziskaner stube next to the hotel to experience the amazing local cuisine.
Overall a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located in the very heart of the old town, facing Bolzano Cathedral and the Christmas market. My room was clean and had a beautiful mountain view. All service was wonderful, the staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is ideally located in the city center of the beautiful Bolzano.
The building is stunning, the room tastefully decorated, the staff very kind, the breakfast was amazing.
We highly recommend!
The updates and remodeling of this historical hotel are beautiful and on-point. The breakfast provided was delicious. The restaurant experience was delightful. Nice location right outside of Bolzano.
A very good hotel within walking distance from the train station, centrum and funiculum to the mountain above Bolzano. Room big and clean, good restaurant at the hotel and very good breakfast.
The view from the hotel is spectacular and the homely feel you get from the staff, the Bolzano card, the dinner was tasty and different every evening…. Totally worth it
I have stayed at many hotels in northern Italy but Magdalenerhof is definitely next level and a great holiday vibe.
