The hotel is very close to the ferry that will take you on the lake, within walking distance away. Staff at the Hotel were very helpfull giving us tips to avoid motorway on our way to Como. Breakfast was very good too.

Loved the view from the balcony. The breakfast buffet was delightful. The location was superb, and I liked the fact that we could exit the gardens at the lake with our room key. The ublic areas are gorgeous.

We had dinner at the Ristorante Posta on the Piazza Dante...
We had dinner at the Ristorante Posta on the Piazza Dante Alighieri 5 just around the corner from the hotel. It was excellent. We took the little tourist train around the town and visited the three Boromeo Islands. On Sunday we took the ship to Intra which is a lovely town with many shops (unfortunately, mostly closed on Sundays, but we knew that.) On Mondays there is the market along the lake just next to the hotel.

We picked a great spot and would recommend it right on the waterfront. Able to have a meal across the road by the waters edge. Strongly suggest a meal at Posta where we had an excellent meal and not too expensive.

Lovely little town, but it is small, at least the touristy front part is. Plenty of choice to eat in scenic locations. Stunning views across the lake, with a boat terminal and a little scenic "train" that leaves from the "harbour".
Easy drive into Stresa ,which is stunning and much larger.

Baveno is lovely and the boats leave often to the beautiful islands which are all just breathtaking!
We especially loved Stresa for eating out in the evenings great restaurants and vibe people are all so lovely and friendly.

Easier to get around if you have your own car- a little too far to walk all the time, and some part of the walk into Stresa is on a busy road with no walkway. Taxis are a little difficult to come by and range from 11 to 20 euro.

The location of Baveno was good for exploring the lake and local area.
Plenty to see and the boat trip to the Borromeo islands was well worth it. Local restaurants were good providing local dishes. Good for those who like walking with plenty of interesting places to visit. We travelled by car but there are local buses.

Hotel Beau Rivage is nicely on the waterfront. We had a twin room with sofabed, lots of space, v clean. Freshly decorated in light greys. Air con worked well and the wifi. Friendly reception and housekeeping staff. Fridge in the room. The pool out the back is lovely, 1.4m deep, quite a few sunbeds with cushions and views of the lake too.
Location of the hotel is perfect, with a beautiful view to the lake. They also offer eating opportunities with perfect lake view. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. There is quite some free parking available near the hotel, which was also guided to us by the hotel staff.
Room and bathroom was clean and seemed freshly painted.
